Thank you for your praise in recognition of ourlibrary service and staff. We strive to provide awarm and welcoming atmosphere for ourcustomers and it’s always great to hear from oursatisfied customers. We hope you continue toenjoy your visits to the Library.

I was wondering whether it would be possible toseparate classical music CDs from other modernmusic. It is hard to find classical among all theothers. A separate section would be muchappreciated. Thank youWould it be possible/practical to separate theclassical CD’s into a separate division.It is an interesting idea to separate out the musiccollection into genres. Unfortunately it wouldrequire a large amount of time to retrospectivelylabel each CD and so for now it is not feasible.We will keep it in mind for the future and revisit itif possible. Thanks for sharing your idea with us.Please, please, please could all items beborrowed for the same length of timeThe loan period for Magazines, Music, Films andDocumentaries was set at 2 weeks to allowmore people to access these popular collections.Items that aren’t reserved can be renewed byphone, in person or online once to save you aspecial trip. Thanks!It would be great if all DVDs purchased in futurehad subtitles for hearing impaired. I find it sofrustrating when DVDs of favourite shows notsubtitledYes, very frustrating! you don’t have I would like it apart for that yourbooks are awesome rock on keep on rockingyou guys all my loveCan we please get new kids learning CD-Roms?The ones you have all compatible only withwindows 95/98 and we can’t use them!Unfortunately we haven’t purchased CD-Romsfor many years as they became out of date soquickly due to technology changes. They will beremoved as part of our ongoing collectionmaintenance. Please ask our staff for help tofind other educational resources in ourcollection.Do you think it might be time to considerreducing the amount of [obsolete] video shelfspace and increasing dvd space? Please??Your DVDs are wonderful! Thank youYes, we purchased new shelving for theDocumentaries some months ago when theywere moved to their new location and this willallow extra space for the collection to grow. Ourholdings of VHS are minimal and will continue todecrease as the format wears out. Currentshelving for the Documentaries and Films isadequate. Glad to hear you enjoy the collection!The new plastic cases for cds are not good. Theartwork is too small and harder to see. Pleasedon’t change the old system.We’re sorry to hear that you’re having troublereading the artwork on the CDs. The new caseshave been used to allow our patrons to checkout CDs themselves when the new RFID systemis implemented in December. We hope thatyou’ll find this system makes up for the cases!Absolutely pathetic that your magazineborrowing procedure fails to secure DVD’s onAust PC user and others. How can a July 09issue on Oct 1 be unavailable. Why don’t you just cancel these magazines than supply greedymembers with free media. I offered solutions butI hear excuses. Not happy.We do cancel subscriptions occasionally due toongoing vandalism and so this may benecessary in this case. We will continue tomonitor its usage. Thanks for alerting us to thisagain.I really don’t want the entertainers in the libraryon Sundays. I prefer libraries to be peaceful.Aren’t libraries supposed to be quiet places? It’shard to concentrate when there’s a rock bandbelting their own peculiar type of rubbish in aback corner.Please no more live music. I come to the libraryfor selecting book and have always love thequiet atmosphere.Apart from being unbearably noisy at times. noother complaints. Now that summer isapproaching a water drinking machine might beanother service you could provide the public.Gone are the days when librarys where meant tobe quiet.Modern libraries are vibrant places encouragingenjoyment for all members of the community. Sunday of the month from 1:30pm-3:00pm untilthe end of the year, when it will be reviewed for2010. Should you require a quieter area duringthis time there are a number study rooms in thelibrary available for you to use. Thank you foryour feedback.

Need a drinking fountain.We have investigated a water cooler but found thecost to be prohibitive. Should you need a glass ofwater please approach a staff member who will beable to help you. Thank you for your suggestion.

I’ve put a notice up on the community noticeboard. There is a guideline notice up but thewriting is too small to read, so I hope I haven’tinfringed the rules.Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We willlook at making this easier to read.We need more parking spots.The Frankston Arts Centre Carpark is operatedby a private company and we are

very fortunateto be able to offer 18 two-hour spaces available atno charge for Library patrons during Library hourson Level 2B. The remaining unreserved spaces inthe Arts Centre Carpark are available at a veryreasonable rate of only 70 cents per hour. Thankyou for your feedback.

Get some foot rests. I for one don’t like beingtold to take my feet off the small tables in thelounge.The tables in the lounge are for use by all libraryusers to place any library materials etc on. Theyare not designed for people to put their feet on.Thank you.The online information “whats on at the Library”is ALL past events and activities. I would haveliked to attend a couple of the events, so how doI find out about planned activities before theyhappen?Thanks for your feedback. As we publish someevents well in advance you, need to scroll rightdown the What’s on page on the website. Keepan eye on the local paper, especially theCouncil’s What’s On page and in the actuallibrary for posters and flyers to find out what’son. You’ll be pleased to know we are currentlyupdating our website which will make it mucheasier to navigate and find out about upcomingevents.The library is very good. I borrowed somedinosaur books today because I love dinosaurs.Delightful, cheerful décor, super service, adelight to visit here.Best library I have used in Victoria – helpful,friendly staff and a great variety of readingmatterI like Frankston Library, cos I get everything Iwant.
