 100. STRATEGIC PLAN1. Purpose The Board recognizes the importance of establishing a comprehensive plan to guidethe educational program and operation of the district. Participation by all segmentsof the school community is a critical element of such planning.2. AuthorityTitle 22Sec. 4.4, 4.13The Board shall develop and approve a Strategic Plan for the school district basedupon an analysis of internal and external needs, specifying priorities for actions andaction plans. The plan shall be formulated in accordance with state regulations.Title 22Sec. 4.13The Board shall ensure active participation by Board members, administrators,teachers, other district personnel, students, parents and representatives from businesses and the community.Title 22Sec. 4.13The Board directs that the Strategic Plan be reviewed and revised during the thirdyear of the six-year plan.Title 22Sec. 4.13Prior to approval by the Board, the Strategic Plan, and any revisions, shall be madeavailable for public inspection in the district's administrative offices, school
 
libraries,and the district website until the next regular Board meeting.3. Delegation of ResponsibilityTitle 22Sec. 4.13The Superintendent shall be responsible for recommending the Strategic Plan to theBoard and for submitting the plan to the Department of Education.
 
 101. PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION/MISSION STATEMENT1. AuthorityTitle 22Sec. 4.1A democratic society is founded on the worth of each individual and the value of his/her unique contribution to that society. The Board is committed to providing asystem of education that will offer equal educational opportunities in accordancewith a student's interests, abilities and needs, consistent with available resources.Title 22Sec. 4.11The purpose of education in the schools of this district is to facilitate development of the potential of each student to the fullest. Education is the guidance of the studentthrough the learning processes to the end that the individual becomes personallyeffective in a dynamic society.Title 22Sec. 4.13District Mission StatementThe mission of Hampton Township School District is to educate individual students by creating partnerships among staff, parents, students, and the community, and by providing a positive atmosphere in which students become lifelong learners and people of character who can achieve high expectations.
