People living in far-flung areas may soon have medical doctors in their communities to attend to their medical concerns and needs.A lawmaker is proposing the mandatory local practice of newly-licensed medicaldoctors who are graduates of state universities and public colleges before they can obtainemployment abroad or engage in private practice. Rep. Eric L. Olivare !"st #istrict$ Para%a&ue 'ity( filed )ouse *ill +,+$ whichmandates all newly-licensed medicine graduates of state universities and public collegesto practice their profession in the country for five years from the time of their oath takingas doctors.Or they may opt to hold or conduct instead at least /0 free medical missions indifferent depressed areas or far flung barangays.
