NOW, REPHRASE USING ONE OF THESE METHODS...

P - PICTURE
Word pictures engage peoples imagination, and when that happens, people remember more. Te Bible
is actually full of word pictures (like a ring in a pigs snout) and efective communicators throughout his-
tory have used metaphors helped their audiences remember a big idea.
R - RHYME
Tis is one of the oldest memory tricks in the book, which is why you remember one of Benjamin
Franklins quotes: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. See if you cant come up with a rhyming
statement to help people remember your big idea.
E - ECHO
Repeating a word or phrase is a powerful way to help people remember. Franklin Roosevelts most
famous line used repetition: Te only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
A - ALLITERATION
Alliteration is the verbal weapon of choice for many preachers, who love to start points with the same
letter. But dont abandon this technique its powerful. Prepare more than you preach thats a good
Preaching Rocket principle, but its also an example of a memorable statement that uses alliteration.
C - CONTRAST
Combine two contrasting ideas the past and the future, the light and the dark, the rich and the poor,
truth and lies, laughter and sorrow. Never do tomorrow what you can do today, might not be true, but
its memorable because of the use of contrast.
H - HOOK
Just like a good song has a hook, your bottom line should be a hook that captures peoples attention.
Before youre done, make sure your bottom line is a hook.
