This presentation focuses on the entirenuclear fuel cycle. It is designed to explainthe negative effects caused by the use of andproduction of nuclear energy. It takes youthrough the cradle to grave lifecycle of nuclear energy, paying particular attention tothe social, environmental, and public healthimpacts of the processes associated withnuclear energy.
We will start with a brief introduction, thenextraction and processing of uranium. Wethen discuss the distribution of uranium toenrichment facilities, and the enrichmentprocess. This is followed by a more detailedexplanation of nuclear uses for weapons andelectricity production. Following each will bea discussion of distribution and consumption.Finally, we will end with an analysis of nuclear waste.
