You do not need to give your bridesmaids gifts if you do not want too. But you also need to think about why you have to give them gifts. The main reason for giving gifts to your bridesmaids is because of their effort to be part of your wedding. Being part of your bridal party also comes with some responsibilities like helping you with some wedding planning, purchasing their own bridal gowns, and throwing you your bridal shower. For these reasons, giving a gift is just logical.
