Quiet Worship
Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and
confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each
day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker
on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional.
At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion
and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks
Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in
the foyer of Power Source.
Kneeling and bowing is showing reverence to God.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving. Psalm 95:2
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were chosen to be in King
Nebuchadnezzars court. The King made a golden idol and he
wanted everyone to worship it. If they didnt, the King and his
men were going to throw them in a frey furnace. Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego had to make a choice; to bow or not
to bow. They chose they were not going to bow to the idol.
God was their God and He would take care of them. So, the
King threw them into the furnace, but God took care of them.
They were not burnt, not even a hair on their heads. Daniel 3
God,
I bow down before You and honor You because You are so
holy. I want to know You by reading Your Word, listening
to You, going to church, and being willing to forgive others.
Thank You for good teachers and help me to choose good
friends. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. Bless
Pastor Ron and his family with strength and grace. Help
me to look for ways to bless others. Thank you that
because of Jesus, I am healed and whole.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Isaiah 40:8
