New ICE 287(g) Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs)

On October 16, 2009, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued a press release announcing
new, standardized Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with state and local law enforcement agencies
participating in ICE's 287(g) program. Through the 287(g) program (sometimes called the "Delegation of
Authority" program), state and local law enforcement officers are "deputized" to enforce federal
immigration law (see ICE's most recent Fact Sheet for more background).

Below are links to the MOA for each participating jurisdiction for which I have been able to obtain a
copy. Copies of the old MOAs (including for jurisdictions that no longer participate in the program) and
other jurisdiction-specific documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) are
available here; while the ICE training materials used in the 287(g) program are available here.
