On Writing My First Novel... And Lessons Learned!
November isNational Novel Writing Month and I have been attempting to write my first thriller
novel. After 3 non-fiction books and being a business writer at work, this was a challenge! Imade it to 20,033 words which I am pretty proud of, and the story is definitely coming together.I am intending to progress with it in 2010 and go through professional editing before you see it,but it will see the light!I learnt A LOT during the month and shared my journeythrough videos (with text
below in case people don’t like videos!). You can watch/read my lessons learned

The Law of Attraction for Writers and Authors
The
Law of Attraction
gained a huge audience with the global success of The Se-creta few years ago, and is still followed by many although there also seems to be a
bit of a backlash against it’s popularity these days.
Whatever your opinions of the Law of Attraction,
the principles can still helpauthors and writers
on their journey. Inthis post,I explain some of the princi-
ples using my own experience in the hope you will find it helpful. It is more of a per-sonal post than usual, and as ever, I appreciate your comments.
The basic principle
s (according to Wikipedia) are:
Decide what you want
Ask the Universe for it
Feel, behave and know that you already have it
Be detached from the outcome
and the extra piece that is very important is…
Focus on doing what you needto
in order to achieve it.
Take action
and it will manifest itself.
