What is to be said of editorials? Consumers of information, who take opinion as soft and impermanent information, acknowledge Plato's assignment of opinion on his scale of knowledge as the lowest form of knowledge when they search for and access what they feel needs to be known. Many consumers question whether opinion consists of known data. Data informing opinion may at once consist in knowledge and belief. And opinion intended to convince may result in conclusions that are not knowable but indeed believable.
A keen sensibility directs aware consumers of information as pilgrims trekking routes provided in abstraction cartography towards destinations, erroneously it often turns out, in real territory.
