/h i.e. 11.11m
3
/s is brought to an onshore pumping
basin through seawater intake pipelines for south Pars Gas-Field Development Phases 15
& 16 and some other phases located in Assaluyeh. It is considered to use High Density
Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes as the offshore pipelines. These pipelines are connected to the
offshore intake chambers as well as the onshore basin by means of steel flanges and
specified lengths of steel pipe.

2. Scope
This specification defines the requirements for coating of the interior and exterior of
underwater steel pipes as well as steel flanges which connect the polyethylene pipes to the
offshore intake chambers as well as the onshore basin.

3. Responsibilities and Authorities
In this project, the CONTRACTOR is responsible for field investigation, design,
procurement, supply, transportation of the materials to preparation site, fabrication,
construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and performance
tests for seawater intake with a total capacity of 40000 m3/h including a desalination unit
with a capacity of 12000 m3 per day.
These responsibilities consist of all common parts of the project according to contract
engineering drawings and documents. Supply, purchase and installation of specific
equipments of phases 15 & 16, two diesel pumps and all appliances of desalination unit
are on the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR, while supply, purchase and installation of
the specific equipments for phases (17 & 18), (22, 23 & 24), (6, 7 & 8) and (X & Y) are not
included.
Supplying required electricity in the project's operation phase as well as allocation of
space for seawater intake and desalination unit constructions are on the company's
responsibility. The contractor's detailed responsibilities are in accordance with the project's
