 Ha’Misparim La’Debarim
The Numbers of the Words
by Craig Wm. Peters
Psalm 82 and the Day of
hwhy

a

The Hebrew phrase, “the Day of
hwhy
” (
hwhy-Mwy)
, refers to the Day of His vengeanceupon all that is high and lifted up.
1
The Day of
hwhy
is the period of time in which
all
strongholds and every lofty thing lifted up against the knowledge of Elohim
2
will becompletely destroyed. We speak here of
 Heavenly Judgment
, and
 not
the bombing of abortion clinics by carnal, radical fanatics. If American legislators continue to refuse toend the scourge of abortion, the Heavenly Judgments of
hwhy
will soon close every door to every abortion clinic forever! We speak here of massive earthquakes, volcanoes, andtidal waves; we speak of fire and brimstone from heaven, the scorching heat of the Sun,and of the most fearsome Fire of all: that which will come forth from
hwhy
Himself.
3
 And this
 Heavenly Judgment
will most assuredly include
every nation
which has set itself to oppose the Kingdom of
hwhy
and His Messiah
4
by casting aside His Torah
5
(the Lawof His Kingdom) and by persecuting/slaying His chosen people.
6
In response to thisrebellion,
hwhy
promises to eventually destroy every kingdom which refuses to submit toHis Reign:
Behold, the eyes of the Sovereign
hwhy
are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth: only that I will not utterly destroy the House of Ya’acob, says
hwhy
.
Amos 9:8The great outpouring of the wrath of
hwhy
El Shaddai will be made known in these Daysof Vengeance,
7
days which are now fast approaching. And how far-reaching will they be: this unrelenting chain of overwhelming, apocalyptic judgments? The Messiahforetold of great convulsions in the heavens which would, in turn, have a mostdevastating effect upon the Earth; as a result, even the seas will roar in a fearsome displayof destructive power:
25 And there will be signs in the sun, and moon, and stars, and on the earthanxiety of nations, in bewilderment at the roaring of the sea, and agitation,26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of what is coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

And how real will this fear be amongst those who do not know
hwhy
and call upon His Name? Through the words of the prophet Zephaniah, we can see a clear indication of  just how overwhelming these immense cataclysms will be:
Near is the great Day of
hwhy
hwhy-Mwy
):near and hasting exceedingly. A voice is the Day of
hwhy
: Bitterly crying out there is the mighty man.
Zephaniah 1:14Because of the indescribable nature of these coming judgments, we see even themightiest of men will be crying out bitterly in fear and brokenness. In seeking to hear yet more of the Most High’s commentary on the Day of
hwhy
, we proceed by studying its number value. The
misparim
value for the phrase,
hwhy-Mwy
, “theDay of
hwhy
,” is
eighty-two

To our amazement,
Tehillah 82
reveals a number of highlights regarding the Day of
hwhy
:Scripture reveals
what
will occur in this Day of Wrath;and we are also told
why
these things must come to pass. And through it all, we will see the Torah-observant testimony of
eswhy
the Messiahcontinuing to reveal the prophetic mind of the Spirit.
8
This is so because the Law of
hwhy
reveals that which is, and that which was, and that which is yet to come.

We continue our study by reading the
82
nd
Psalm
.
Tehillah 82
 A Psalm of Asaph
1 Elohim stands in the assembly of El; He judges among the elohim.2 How long will you judge perversely, and accept the persons of the wicked?[Selah]3 Judge the poor and the fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and the destitute.4 Rescue the poor and needy: deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.5 They know not, neither do they understand; they walk on in darkness: all thefoundations of the earth are shaken.6 I have said, “You are elohim; and all of you are sons of the Most High.7 But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”8 Arise, Elohim, judge the earth: for You shall inherit all the nations.

Shaddai will pour out in the Day of
hwhy
. It is no coincidence that
 Psalm 82
was positioned to be the
eighty-second
and that its subject matter speaks of the Day of
hwhy
, a period of time to be filled with many overwhelming and burning judgments – judgmentsin which
hwhy
will, once more, awaken the inhabitants of the earth to righteousness
10
by punishing all disobedience to His immutable, age-abiding Torah – the Word which Hehas commanded to a thousand generations.

The Sons of Elohim Convene Before
hwhy

in the Heavens
As G.H. Lang and G.H. Pember have so aptly set forth, the Hebrew phrase “sons of Elohim” refers exclusively to any being created
directly
by the Most High.
12
Hence, inthe Law and the Prophets, the Hebrew phrase, “sons of Elohim,” applies exclusively tothe angels/messengers.
13
This also explains why
eswhy
the Messiah was called “the Sonof Elohim” since He was brought forth by the direct, creative working of the Almighty.
14
 In
 Psalm 82
, we see these sons of Elohim convening before Him in the Heavenly Court, just as was seen in the account of the prophet Iyob/Job:
6 Now it came to pass on the day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before
hwhy
, that Satan also came among them. 7 And
hwhy
said to Satan, From where have you come? Then Satan answered
hwhy
, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8 And
hwhy
said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Iyob? For there is none like himin the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears Elohim, and turns away from evil.
Iyob 1:6-8The main subject of this gathering appears to have been the prophet Iyob. At yet another such gathering – seen in a vision by the prophet Micaiah –
hwhy
sends forth a lying spiritto deceive Ahab so the rebellious king will fall/die in a battle:

See “
 Earth’s Earliest Ages
,” pages 40-41, 129-135, and the Appendix, “
 Fallen Angels Taking Human Form
,” bythe editor G.H. Lang. Mr. Lang clearly refutes all arguments to the contrary, and we feel one cannot honestly ponder the relevant Scriptures and conclude anything differently. But we must have “ears to hear:” We mustapproach the topic without bias, and we must be consistent in our use of Scripture. However, readers will have toslowly digest his words since G.H. Lang writes complicated sentences with English from a much different era thanour own.
14
Luke 1:35. Because He was directly formed by the Hand of
hwhy

in the womb of Miriam/Mary,
eswhy

wascalled the Son of Elohim. This explains why He could authoritatively quote
 Psalm 82
(see John 10:33-36), and inHis having done so, we are given yet another proof He was/is the Messiah.
