According to the European Framework agreement on Work-Related Stress of 10/8/2004, Work-Related Stress regards aspects relating to the planning, organization and management of work, besides their environmental and social contexts that have the potential to give rise to physical, social, and psychological damages. On this respect, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (2000) identified psychosocial risk factors related both to the intrinsic characteristics of work and those concerned to organizational contexts.
The study involved 342 workers of three companies of the insurance sector in the province of Rome. Data were found using Multidimensional Organizational Health Questionnaire (Avallone, Paplomatas, 2005).
Differences emerged in the perception of risk factors, protective factors, as well as in work satisfaction - according to gender, age, and corporate work seniority.
In addition, significantly different profiles of Organizational Health emerged between the three companies, highlighting that, given the same Job Content, different Organizational Contexts can affect the perception of health and safety of workers.
