lish that we don't want to justprepare our lesson as if that is allwe have to offer, but we ask thatHis very presence would accom-pany us, knowing that He is avail-able at any moment to invadehearts and sweep out all sin.It is with the Cambodia staff here that we have become co-workers for the gospel. We eachdo our small part, working to-gether to attain the vision of thisministry, all the while, fixing our eyes on Jesus, our only Savior. Itis the desire of our heart whichGod delights in, to see the Cam-bodians meet Jesus and grow intomature Christians, passionateabout preaching and living out thegospel, to their fellow people.
For we do not preach our-selves but Christ Jesus asLord, and ourselves as your  bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Lightshall shine out of darkness”,is the One who has shone inour hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
It's now been a month since our arrival to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and our reunion with Pastors Keatand Sally Kove at Cambodia Mis-sion Outreach. Josh and I havesettled into a schedule now.In the mornings we each teachan English class to the CambodianEnglish teachers. These teachersare young adults who have recentlygraduated from Bible college, andwork full-time here at the ministry. The seven of them teach English inthe New Hope English school, aswell as lead cell groups and disciplenew believers.Josh and I are teaching themEnglish also teaching them how toteach, so that they may improveand have confidence in what theyare doing.Josh and I are also teachingEnglish to the children. Josh alter-nates between the grades one andfour on a weekly basis. I do thesame with the grades two and threeclasses. The kids really are beautiful, funny and easy to love. I'd be lyingif I said the grade threes didn't testmy patience sometimes, but it is inthese situations that the fruit of patience can be cultivated andexemplified, and for this I reallyam grateful. Also, if we love onlythose who make us happy, thenour love is not the real love that isfrom God, who loves because Heis love, rather than because peo-ple deserve it.In the evening, Josh and Ieach teach English in the NewHope English school. Currently, there are about two hundred stu-dents attending and most of themhave chosen the free scholarship, which means instead of paying amonthly fee for the school, theyattend church services severaltimes a month. About 70% of these students are unbelievers. It is without a doubt, God'slonging for each of these studentsto know Him. As we teach Eng-lish, I see in our precious stu-dents, people who God has en-trusted to us; people whom Godhas painfully purchased Himself by the blood of His son. I have aresponsibility to these studentsfrom God to let Him show His Sonthrough me.Can you see the people inyour life whom God has entrustedyou with?It is even when teaching Eng-
The “saints” of Catholicism andOrthodoxy continue to inspireme like none other. Such dedica-tion has been unparalleled, andtheir lives scream of a terriblebliss that only one utterly con-sumed by Love can imagine. Theyseem ‘extreme’ and ‘insane’ be-cause they were. They wereinsane for Love, and often areour subject of ridicule becausewe inwardly covet the relation-ship they had with God, yetaren’t willing to pay the pricethey paid to get it. We desiretheir Gospel from afar, as if weare looking at some materialpossession we would love tohave, but as we get closer andsee how intricately beautiful itreally is, we also behold the pricetag. It is true that eternal salva-tion is free gift of grace, but thestature the “saints” enjoyed(?)cost them everything they had. They realized to have a Saviormeant assurance of salvation, butthey also realized to have a Lordmeant to be a servant. And suchas these were indeed, servants of Love. They were enslaved to it.That is why we still exalt theirlives hundreds of years after theyredeemed their inheritance.Their recorded lives are given tous by God for the sake of ouradmiration and edification. Let uslearn, and serve Love.
