ENTRANCE TEST NOTICE FOR ADMISSION TO POSTGRADUATE
DEGREE IN (MD/MS) COURSES IN AYURVEDA
An All India combined entrance test (MCQ) for admission to MD/MS (Ayurveda) Courses in
Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Post Graduate Ayurvedic College, Paprola, (Kangra), H.P. will be held on
24-08-2014 (Sunday) at Shimla Examination Centres for which ONLINE Application forms from
the eligible candidates are invited through H.P. University Website www.hpuniv.in/
www.hpuniv.nic.in. The schedule for filing online application form for this entrance test will be
05.07.2014 to 05.08.2014. Thereafter, the link will be disabled. The desirous candidates are advised
to be ready with soft copy of passport size photograph and scanned copy of signatures in jpg. before
filling online application forms.

SEATS:KayaChikitsa=6,ShalyaTantra=4,Shalakya Tantra=4 (i.e. Netra Roga 2 and Karn Nasa Kanth
avum Sira Roga 2), Samhita Sidhanta=4, Ras Shastra=3, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga=3, Bal Roga=3,
Dravya Guna=3, Panchkarma =3, Swasthvrita=3 and Rog Nidan =3. Out of which 50% i.e. 20 seats
as Group-I will be filled up from amongst (a) Himachal Pradesh Govt. In-Service Ayurvedic
Medical Officers who are Bonafide Himachalies and (b) bonafide Himachalies Ayurvedic Graduates
of Himachal Pradesh University/ or any other University recognized by the CCIM, New Delhi.
Remaining 19 seats as Group II will be filled up through open competition on All India Basis as
per Group-II. All bonafide Himachalies of Group- 1 shall also be considered on merit for group-II.
Eligibility Conditions:
(i) A candidate should have passed BAMS or its Equivalent degree of 5 years minimum duration
(including rotatory internship) from the recognized Institution/ University latest by the date of
Counselling.
(ii) Only such regular Ayurvedic Medical Officers in the department of Ayurveda (H.P.) under
Group-I will be eligible who have rendered five years service including adhoc service, if any out of
which at least three years service in rural areas or two years service in Hard/ Trible Areas and should
have minimum eight years of service left for superannuation after completion of Postgraduate Degree
in Ayurveda.
Mode of payment of Entrance Test Fee: Rs.2200/-(Rupees Two thousand and two Hundred only)
in case of General and Other Categories and Rs.1100/-(Rupees one thousand and one hundred only)
in case of SC/ST Categories is required to be paid by the candidates at any Branch of State Bank of
India by computer generated challans/Net Banking or through Credit/Debit Cards of any Bank with
in the prescribed schedule i.e.. 05.07.2014 to 05.08.2014.
Computer generated confirmation copy: The Computer generated confirmation copy of the
Application Form filled up online by the candidates with a separate photograph pasted on it duly
attested by the Gazetted Officer and having signatures of the candidate along with fee receipt is
required to be sent to the H.P. University so as to reach the same in the office of the Deputy/
Assistant Registrar (Ent. Tests), Room No.10, (Ground Floor) Administrative Block, Summer
Hill, Shimla -5 lastest by 12.08.2014.

All disputes are subject to legal jurisdiction of courts in Shimla only.
