Mr. Wong is an ITArchitect with IBMRetail On DemandEmerging BusinessOpportunities (EBO),the IBM skunkworksorganization missionedto increase IBMbusiness and technical solutions within the Retailindustry. He was formerly with the IBM GlobalServices Linux and Grid EBO building IBM's initialentry into the Linux and Grid Computing market,IBM Global Services Application Services and IBMSales and Distribution Technical Sales Support.Due to the dynamic nature of the EBO, his skillsspan the whole spectrum of I/T business andtechnical development from technical pre-sales,solution design and implementation, offeringdevelopment to ecosystem enablement.As a result of his thought leadership and businessand technical knowledge in the Open Source andLinux space, he was the Co-Leader of the IGSOpen Source Community of Practice, an IBMinternal grassroots knowledge network, where heco-leads community, communication andknowledge sharing activities for 7,100+ IBMers.Not at work, Mr. Wong is very active in AsianAmerican Civil Rights and is an officer for theOrganization of Chinese Americans and was a pastpresident of the University of California IrvineAlumni Association Information and ComputerScience Chapter. He enjoys traveling all over theworld, eating at local mom and pop restaurants,shopping, learning about anything and everything,donating time to worthy causes and helping hisfamily’s business. He hold a BS in Information andComputer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
