This presentation by the Allen Group to the Mid America Regional Council describes the huge competitive advantage of the warehouses they propose to build immediately adjacent to the proposed BNSF Rail Yard near Gardner, Kansas. Amazingly enough, the Gardner Kansas City Council voted to require the taxpayers to pay 85 percent of the costs of the infrastructure for the warehouses. This irresponsible taxpayer giveaway will benefit the BNSF at the expense of the children being educated by the local school district (USD 231) which opposes the move.
