as given in the Holy Scriptures and not by CustomsI hope these passages will put an end to the notion that women should be in authority in the local church (fellowshipof believers).
Gen 1:27-28
(27)
So God created man in his own image, in theimage of God created he him; male and female created he them.
(28)
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and havedominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.God created man and woman to rule together as a team. They were to both to have dominion over the works of God’s hand.Gen 2:18, 21-23
(18)
And the LORD God said, It is not good that theman should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.
(21)
 Andthe LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and heslept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh insteadthereof;
(22)
And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
(23)
And Adamsaid, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: sheshall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Help: Ezer - one who helps; help, aid. It refers to aid or assistance that is given.
Adam needed a companion (a help meet), thus Eve was takenout of him (rib). Rib bears much significance, it shows support (tobear up). Adam points to Christ who is taken a bride fromHimself. This bride is to submit herself to Him. Adam needed a co-ruler as Christ is to have a co-ruler; Godcreated Eve to be Adam’s helper/co-ruler which comes from hisbody. Jesus is procuring, preparing or finding a bride (co-ruler)which comes from His body (church). When Eve submits to guile/trickery of the devil, she was punished. As part of her punishment she was told that her desireis to be to her husband and he shall rule over her.Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth

children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall ruleover thee.Rule-m¹šal: A verb denoting to rule, to reign, or to have dominionover. This point to Jesus rule over His church. So must man rule over his wife. And so must man have rule over woman in the house of God.The punishment will last as long as the other punishment. Thecurse on the earth, serpent, man and woman will be lifted whenthe Son of man (Jesus Christ) shall return in glory to reign. Thiswill be when the earth will be at rest.1Cor. 14:34-35
(34)
Let your women keep silence in the churches:for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they arecommanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
(35)
Andif they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home:for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. This passage relates to utterances in the church that was done inconfusion. Based on how the chapter is structure it leads me tobelieve that it was done by women. It was evidently given inorder for things to be maintained in order. 1Cor. 14:40 Let allthings be done decently and in order.Women as well men are to be knowledgeable in the word of God,none to be a novice. For a christlike being to press toward themark the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus, he or she has tobe mature in the word of God.These scriptures are to be taken literally. Women should never have been occupying these positions that we now see today. The problem stems from the whole lump becoming more and moreleaven (Matt. 13:33) and almost everything now is out of place.Eph 5:22-33
(22)
Wives, submit yourselves unto your ownhusbands, as unto the Lord.
(23)
For the husband is the head of thewife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is theSaviour of the body.
(24)
Therefore as the church is subject untoChrist, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
(25)
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved thechurch, and gave himself for it;
(26)
That he might sanctify andcleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
(27)
That hemight present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without

blemish.
(28)
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
(29)
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as theLord the church:
(30)
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
(31)
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shallbe one flesh.
(32)
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerningChrist and the church.
(33)
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. This passage shows a great relationship with Christ and theChurch. It also shows the relationship with husband and wife pointing to Christ and the Church. It shows up the curse in Gen.3:16 where a man should rule over woman. It is clear that womenare to submit and man to love. It did not say man to submit but to love as Christ love the church. Men are to love their wives asChrist loves the Church and died for us so must we love with asacrificial heart. The submitting woman forms a type of thesubmitting church gaining access to the rest (Sabbath/Kingdomof Heaven). The previous verse gives some believers a misleading picture
(21)
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God). They tie verse 21 to 22, drawing the conclusion that man and womanmust submit to each other in marriage; mean joint ruler-ship.This could never be so, as it would give the view that God’s wordis conflicting. This is in direct opposite of v22, 23 and Genesis3:16. The recompense for anything done good and bad would beaffected as the curse/punishment given for woman’s husband torule over her was due to Eve being deceived by the Devil. This has always been so; Moses did not get to go into Canaanafter he struck the rock instead of speaking to it. David’s first sonby Bathsheba died (2Samuel 12:14) even after he was forgivenfor taking Uriah’s wife Bathsheba and sending him to his death. Both Moses and David was forgiven, however there was still a price to be paid; a just recompense for work. This verse (Eph. 5:21) continues the same central thought asseen coming from verse 14. This verse (21) is a continuation of verse 18; being one complete sentence separated by semicolons. They address each individual believer of the body of Christ andhow he or she should walk. Verse 22-33 makes a definitedistinction from the verse 21. It deals with these individualscollectively as the body of Christ, and how they must submit to
