Young Archaeologists Club
Terry and I joined up with Young Archaeologists' Club - Colchester Branch in May 2006 to helpthem in their quest to find a long lost farmhouse. The youngsters spent their time doing a geofizzsurvey, metal detecting, learning how to use GPS for recording findspots, and some field/hedgewalking - everyone had a go at everythingIt was good fun, totally rewarding - and it's encouraging to see how enthusiastic these youngstersare.
