Description of Program:

This summer, I am interested in attending the Carnegie Mellon Summer Program

for Diversity. This program is a free, six-week pre-college program for students

who are interested in math and science. Students learn standardized test skills,

receive college counseling, and practice essay-writing on top of the math and

science courses that they take. I have attached a one-page information sheet about

Why I want to attend this program:

This is a perfect program for me because I want to use this summer as an

opportunity to improve my math and science skills so I am ready for my senior year

math and science courses. In addition, because I am going to be applying for college

next year, I want to experience life on a college campus to get more of an idea of

what kind of school I am interested in applying to. I have attached my application
