The Hershey CompanyA company that finds its profit in the number of smiles brought on by itsproducts is a company that deserves its customers.Bringing sweet moments of happiness to the world every day is how TheHershey Company (THC) starts not only their mission statement but each day. THCfeels that it has an obligation to provide consumers with products and services of consistently superior quality and value, maintain a strong “people” orientation, andto promote ethics. The Hershey Company is most known for its confectionary products, suchbrands as Hershey’s Chocolate, Kisses, Reese’s, Kitkat, Jolly Ranchers, etc. THCproducts are manufactured in Hershey, Pennsylvania in the world’s largestchocolate factory. Located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s dairy country, THC has thefreshest milk products available to use in their manufacturing. The machinery usedto create a world’s favorite chocolate is unique in many aspects. Hershey when hedeveloped the recipe that is still used today to make Hershey’s milk chocolate. Hebelieved that the wealthy shouldn’t be the only people able to experience the tasteof chocolate and wanted to make it available to every family. He decided to returnto his birthplace, Derry Church, Pennsylvania, which would eventually be renamedafter him, to open his chocolate factory.
