The assure model

Upon my analysis and review, the assure model appeared to


me as the functional and reliable guidelines from assessment
up to evaluation of the learners in terms of educational use
and function, it aims to giving clarity and organization in
presenting, creating, and preparing a step by step
instructional materials and the means to assess and
knowledge of whether or not the objectives of a given
lesson must be revised, whether or not the objectives were
met and justified.







The first step in the assure model

Analyzing the learners
In this step comes the analysis as a whole, this visits and
reviews every aspect of learner's positive and negative sides
on each respective educational levels, their knowledge,
strength and weaknesses, this step aims in detailed analysis
approach, gathering individual and group's issues in every
aspect that could affect learning and acquisition of
knowledge this also guides the teacher's preparation,
execution, or revision of teaching ways and styles in general.



Statement of Objective as the second
step
This step targets the result to be, of the given objectives, this
helps in determining the outcome possible for the learners in
setting the standards to meet the stated objectives with
consideration of aspects on how to meet the objectives, there are
clear given guidelines and set of concerns to focus on such as
the ABCD's of this step, appropriate to the levels of learners and
their domains or learning classifications.








Select, modify, design Methods, Media and
Materials
This step focuses on the methods and materials
to be used in teaching, depending on the
teacher's view of the most appropriate materials,
styles or method to deliver the knowledge with
regards to meeting the objectives, considering
the most effective for the class or the group.





Utilize
Methods, Media and Materials
This step plans in detail how the material, methods and media
should be used in appropriate setting to meet the objectives of the
lesson as planned.
This step will show how the teacher will utilize the materials
effectively, resourcefully and appropriately in the delivery of lesson.




Require Learner Participation
This is where the teacher-student relationship is
needed, in order to give gain skills, the effective
encouragement of a teacher to a student must be
given value, allowing the time to exercise and drill
in order to learn and retain a lesson, thus giving
time for preparation and set time to demonstrate
the skill needed, and other positive regards to get
the student going and participating in the lesson.




Evaluate and Revise
This is where the observation and evaluation of
objectives were assessed and reviewed if met or unmet,
this is where the reflection of a teacher in his/her own
strength and weaknesses in meeting the objectives in
teaching, and also the students performance is
reassessed, and can be justified by whether the
materials, methods and medias where effective in
delivery of lesson, this is where a teacher will
determine the need for revision or the beginning of
another lesson.
