Full text of Being and Belonging. A book of contemporary Philosophy by Marcus de Brun.

Dr. De Brun is a Family Physician working in Dublin. In this text he considers contemporary philosophy and Freudian psychoanalytical theory. He attempts to formulate a new theory of human psychology, out of which (he proposes) we might escape the intellectual paralysis that accompanies globalisation. For many this same paralysis has transformed happiness and freedom into depression and self imposed slavery, it has transformed democracy into a pathology that global ecology and the human race may not survive.
