Members of the Burundian National Defense Forces 6th contingent serving under the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) have completed their tour of duty and are being replaced by a fresh contingent.

The troops rotating out have been in Somalia for the past year serving alongside other African troops that make up the peacekeeping force from Uganda, Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone.

Speaking during the handover ceremony held in Mogadishu today, the commander of the outgoing contingent Col. Habarugira Jean Luc appealed to his colleagues to uphold the good work and to leave a remarkable difference.
