Aidil Fitri: Usah Sampai Terhakis Pahala Ramadhan
Setelah sebulan kita berpuasa, tiba pula masa
bagi menyambut Aidil Fitri. Di negara kita, kota
besar seperti ibukota Kuala Lumpur menjadi
begitu lengang dan sunyi sepi. Begitu besarnya
tarikan kekeluargaan terutamanya di kampung
sehingga sekelian penghuni kota tidak dapat tidak,
mesti bergegas ke kampung halaman masing-
masing walaupun hanya buat seketika. Seumpama
belut pulang ke lubuk.
Namun dalam suasana umat Islam bersuka ria
riang dan gembira menyambut hari pembebasan,
berperang dengan nafsu yang mampu
membatalkan puasa, ada beberapa perkara yang
perlu juga direnungi. Supaya sambutan Aidil Fitri
itu tidak hanya menjadi budaya melepaskan geram
memenuhi selera, mendamba kembali hidangan
yang terkempunan sewaktu berpuasa (sedangkan
sepanjang sebulan sudah diasuh elak memakan
berlebihan) dan terlibat dengan tindak tanduk
yang di luar batasan syarak.
Puasa yang diterima Allah adalah yang dapat
meraih manfaat, membuahkan takwa,
membersihkan jiwa. Sepertimana dinyatakan
Allah dalam Surah Al Baqarah, ayat 183 yang
bermaksud, Wahai orang beriman, diwajibkan
ke atas kamu berpuasa sepertimana diwajibkan
ke atas orang sebelum kamu supaya kamu bertakwa.
Ternyata, amalan berpuasa sepanjang Ramadan
menyucikan tubuh dan minda daripada segala
noda. Jika sepanjang Ramadhan didapati kita
lebih sihat, malah ada yang menghidap darah
tinggi dan kencing manisnya menjadi sedikit
terkawal, maka seharusnya diawasi tahap
kesihatan bermula detik Aidil Fitri. Kadangkala
penyakit yang dihidapi itu menjadi lebih parah.
Jika semasa Ramadhan juga hati kita terdidik
supaya menyelami segala perasaan, bisikan dan
perbuatan yang tidak baik maka seharusnya
rangsangan itu kekal berbekas. Kita terus menerus
menggantikan yang serba buruk dengan amalan
terpuji dan memohon keampunan Ilahi. Jika telah
terbiasa berdampingan dengan Al Quran maka
seharusnya diteruskan keintiman itu. Jika tidak
banyakpun maka memadai dengan sedikit.
Bukankah Allah menyukai amalan yang
sungguhpun sedikit namun berpanjangan?

Pada hari Aidil Fitri, kita kembali kepada fitrah;
seolah-olah dilahirkan semula. Suci dan bersih bak
kapas. Oleh itu hindarkan diri kita daripada menodai
kesucian yang telah kita sendiri susah payah
gilapkan sepanjang bulan Ramadhan yang lalu.
Ibarat kereta kesayangan yang baharu keluar dari
bengkel setelah proses pembaikan semula, sudah
tentunya ia berkilat dan seumpama baharu. Maka
sanggupkah kita apabila memandu kereta itu,
sengaja meredah lopak dipenuhi air kotor ataupun
melanggari tembok sehingga kemik dan remuk?
Begitu jugalah diri kita ini. Perlu mengawasi dan
berwaspada akan cabaran pada Syawal dan bulan-
bulan yang menyusul.
Semoga cahaya Syawal senantiasa menyinari diri
kita supaya mengingati Allah sebagai Maha Pencipta,
menjadikan diri kita lebih dekat dengannya. Di
samping bergembira bersama keluarga, merapatkan
silaturrohim, kita jauhkan daripada melakukan
perkara yang tidak baik dengan terbenamnya hari
terakhir Ramadhan terbitnya bulan baharu. Tidak
lupa juga menginsafi mereka yang kurang bernasib
baik; Aidil Fitri mereka itu tidak ubah seperti hari-
hari lain. Dipenuhi dengan tangisan mengiringi
kesukaran, kecederaan malah kematian akibat
bedilan tidak putus-putus, angkara kerakusan
manusia yang kesombongannya bertakhta di hati.
Kita titipkan doa untuk mereka ini, baik di mana
sahaja mereka berada.
Kelab Noon mengambil kesempatan ini bagi
mengucapkan Selamat Menyambut Aidil
Fitri...semoga segala amalan pada bulan Ramadhan
kita diterima Allah s.w.t....Amin.

PS. Mari kita teruskan lipat ganda usaha lagi dengan
melaksanakan puasa selama enam hari dalam
Syawal; yang mana pahalanya sekiranya ditambah
kepada puasa sebulan Ramadhan, seumpama kita
berpuasa selama setahun. Usah pula kita lupa, ya?

adalah ciptaan Allah
yang pertama, yang
membuat segala catatan.
Surah ini juga merujuk
kepada Pena iaitu simbol
keilmuan dan bidang
penulisan yang
mempunyai pengaruh
yang amat besar.
Apakah ilmu yang paling
baik selain daripada
yang terkandung dalam
Al Quran? Dalam
Bahasa Melayu, Noon
berbunyi seperti Nun
contohnya lihat nun jauh
di sana, seolah-olah
mengajak supaya
berpandangan jauh. Oleh
itu, Kelab Noon
menjemput anda
pembaca semua supaya
turut serta bersama kami
menjadi ahli masyarakat
yang senantiasa
meningkatkan ilmu serta
berpandangan jauh
dalam segala hal dan
perkara.



Celebrating Eid: Let
us not have our
good deeds in
Ramadhan turn to
waste

After a month of fasting in
Ramadhan, we welcome Eidil
Fitri which is here at our
doorstep. To appreciate just
how much the significance of
this day is to family and
kinship, we only need to
observe how quiet and
deserted our capital city Kuala
Lumpur is, during this great
day. Almost everbody has
scrambled off to their
respective hometowns to be
with their loved ones although
only just for a little while.
However, in celebrating our
freedom at last from the
shackles of conditions that may
break our fast during the whole
of Ramadhan, we need to be
wary of certain things. Let us
ponder and reflect on this. We
need to, in order to ascertain
that all the good deeds we had
done in the month of
Ramadhan will still bear fruit.
Aidil Fitri's celebration
is not merely a whimsical form
of culture, a time when we may
fully delight in excessive
eating, fulfilling our cravings
and appetite which were
rendered to a certain limit in
the month of Ramadhan. In
fact, during that whole month,
we have been trained to be
moderate and to avoid being
wasteful and greedy. What
more to indulge in acts which
are totally against our faith in
Islam.
Indeed, fasting which Allah
favour is one that is
able to induce a sense of piety
and which cleanses the soul. As
stated in the Quran, verse 183,
Surah Al Baqarah, O ye who
believe! Fasting is prescribed
for you, even as it was
prescribed for those before
you, that ye may ward off
(evil);.

Fasting during Ramadan
obviously purifies our
body and mind. We may find
that during Ramadhan, those
who have certain ailments such
as are diabetes and
hypertension seem to feel
better and their illness tend to
be better controlled.



During Ramadhan, we have put in much
efforts to refrain from thinking and
harbouring ill thoughts and feelings and
to succumb to selfish acts. Instead, we
have tried to exercise kindness and open
our minds to the sufferings of others. We
should then try to maintain these even on
the days after Ramadhan. Continue to fill
our hearts with goodness and to always
seek Allahs forgiveness. If we had grown
accustom with reciting the Quran, then
beginning Eid, we should persevere to do
so too. If not for a length of time, then
mainta certain portion of it. A little less
but strive to do so along the way. Isnt that
what is loved by Allah?
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) has
said, The most beloved of deeds are the
most consistent of them, even if they are
few. ~ Riwayat al Bukhari and Muslim
On the day of Eid, if we had tried our best
to adhere to the principles and ideals of
Ramadhan, we would emerge just like a
new baby, only reborn. Clean and white,
just as the first snow that falls. Therefore,
we should try to avoid spoiling the purity
of it all by doing something on the
contrary. For, failing to do this, all the
good rewards that we have gathered with
our good deeds during Ramadhan would
be gone, disintegrate..what a pity..and
such a waste. Imagine our favourite car
just out from the workshop, bright and
shiny, looking like brand new. Would we
want to bash the car on the wall or to
deliberately plough it carelessly in dirty,
muddy waters? Therefore, we need to
think twice and be on the alert. The
months after Eid can be quite challenging,
it is easy for us to fall into temptations
and we need to maintain the momentum.

May the light of Syawal always
illuminate us so that we remember
Allah as our Creator, hence making
ourselves closer to Him. While rejoicing
our triumph with family members
and strengthening brotherhood ties
amongst us as ummat, we strive to
abstain from bad deeds ain beginning
from the last day of Ramadhan, the first
of Shawal and the months ahead. Lest we
forget, there are less fortunate beings for
whom Eid is just like any ordinary day of
hardship. There are those too whose Eid
is a far cry from ours i.e. whose innocent
children, women and the old are dying by
the minute, whose lives are constantly
under attack from arrogant oppressors,
bombarded and shelled even when taking
refuge or shelter at relief camps. Let us
not forget to offer our plentiful doa(s) for
them, wherever they may be.

month of Ramadhan be accepted by Allah

PS. Come and join us. Let us continue to fast in
the 6 days of Shawwal. There is immense reward
for this deed. Our Prophet has said,: "Whoever
fasts Ramadhan and follows it with six days of
Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted for a
lifetime." (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawud, at-
Tirmidhi, an-Nisa'i and Ibn Majah). Let us not
forget, okay?
