Your request was assigned ID# 120337.The City ofvictoria received arequest for documents relating to the requestor. Youstate that you have released some responsive documents to the requestor. However, youobject to the release of documents relating to a criminal complaint that the requestor tiledwith the Victoria Police Department. With the exception of front page offense reportinformation, you contend that the documents are protected from disclosure under section552.108 of the Govermnent Code.’ We have considered the exception you claim and havereviewed the documents at issue.Section 552.108(a)(l) excepts from disclosure “[i]nformation held by a lawenforcement agency or prosecutor that deals with the detection, investigation, or prosecutionof crime if release of the information would interfere with the detection,investigation, or prosecution of crime.”You state that the documents at issue relate to an“open” criminal case that “has been presented to the Victoria County District Attorney forprosecution.” Based upon this representation, we conclude that the release of the documentswould interfere with the detection, investigation, or prosecution of crime.
