RUTH J OHNS ON - MI CHI GAN S E CRE TARY OF S TATE

The Ruth Report
Dear Friends,

Every year we take a moment to
look back at just what our team
has been able to accomplish.

The 2014 State of the SOS is
now available online. Click
here to access. Highlights
include our efforts to fight
fraud, safeguard integrity in
elections and to shorten lines
and improve customer service.

Im very proud of the team we
have in Lansing and all weve been able to get done in the last three years. We
are really making a difference in the lives of families, from our record-breaking
organ donor numbers to helping Michigans 680,000 veterans. Other updates:
PROTECTING CONSUMERS - Our
office is now part of a national
database designed to prevent car thefts
and protect consumers from title fraud.
This will help Michigan residents who
buy used vehicles to ensure that they
havent been wrecked or damaged out
of state.
CONVENIENCE - Mechanic testing
is now available at kiosks in 80 of our
branch offices. All offices now offer
immediate results to the test-taker
so they can get to work.
NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED - Our
drivers education program was
recently honored as exemplary by
the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration. That means safer roads
for all of our families.
Warm regards,
