Marinate means to coat or immerse foods in an acidic-
based liquid or dry rub, to tenderize and flavor before cooking.
Food is marinated in a marinade.





Mince is a food preparation technique in
which food ingredients are finely divided into uniform
pieces.

Minced food is in smaller pieces than diced or
chopped foods, and is often prepared with a chef's
knife or food processor. For a true mince, the effect is to create
a closely bonded mixture of ingredients and a soft or
pasty texture.

Julienne a portion of food cut into short, thin strips.







Chop is to cut (something) into small pieces with repeated
sharp blows using an ax or knife.







Dice play or gamble with dice or dice is like to chop.








Simmer to cook (something) so that it is almost boiling for a
certain period of time







Saute fried quickly in a little hot fat.
