Leimert Park Underground Station Construction

Construction for the Leimert Park Station is anticipated to begin late summer 2014 and is anticipated to last
approximately 4 years. This work also entails construction of the underground tunnel to 48
th
St. The majority
of the construction work will be conducted below Crenshaw Bl, and traffic will be maintained on the street
through construction. Below is an anticipated schedule for major construction activities regarding the Leimert
Park Station and underground tunnel:

What to expect:
Crenshaw Bl traffic will be reconfigured to support construction. At least two lanes of traffic will be
maintained in each direction on Crenshaw Bl from 43
rd
St to 48
th
St for a majority of the time during the
approximate 4 years of construction.
Additional lanes closures on Crenshaw Bl will occasionally be implemented, usually during off-peak travel
times, to conduct other work activities.
Access to businesses and pedestrians will be maintained throughout construction. Pedestrians may
occasionally be re-routed around the construction zone, but maintained.

Qu esperar:
Como parte del proceso de construccin, se va a reorganizar el trfico de Crenshaw Bl. La mayor parte del tiempo y
aproximadamente durante los 4 aos de la construccin, se conservarn al menos dos carriles en cada sentido de Crenshaw
Bl, entre las calles 43 y 48.
En algunas ocasiones se realizarn cierres a carriles adicionales en Crenshaw Bl, por lo general en horas no pico, con el fin de
realizar otras actividades de obra.
Los accesos a comercio y de peatones van a permanecer durante toda la construccin. En ocasiones se darn otras rutas
para los peatones alrededor de la zona de construccin, pero podrn seguir transitando.
El horario y la programacin para las actividades de obra de construccin estn sujetos a cambios.
