Ode to the Canadian Rockies
In Five Haikus
Mountain hiking trails,
Unfathomable beauty
Fills the heart and soul.
Walking sticks in hand,
Hills, valleys, glacier basins,
Peaks please watchful eyes.
Lakes, rushing rivers,
Emerald waters delight;
Cool rains remove sweat.
Oh, wanderlust rules,
Evermore bodies rejoice,
Pleasant reminders.
Commune with Nature:
Unique flora, rich fauna;
May it never end.
