What is a
Tumor?
\u2022Neoplasia means \u201cNew growth\u201d and a new
growth is called a neoplasm.

\u2022\u201cA neoplasm\u201d is an abnormal mass of tissue, the growth of which exceeds and is uncoordinated with that of normal tissues and persists in the same excessive manner after cessation of the stimuli which evoked the change.
