These are some exercises designed to help me see what your English is
like.
1. Writing task: “This is me and this is why I’m here”

Please write about 175 words about you ( job, studies, hobbies, family...) and the reasons why you are learning the language. Include the aspects of the language you find more problematic and your expectations for this course.

2. Recording task:

Please record yourselves reading PART 1 from the set of photocopies handed out in class. Please try to read normally. Nobody is asking you to rush!

How to proceed from your computer (Feel free to use any other methods):
Inic – programes – accessoris – entreteniment – enregistrament de sons.

This allows you to record just for one minute, BUT, if you press the recording button before the minute is over you can go on recording. Please practice enough ( until you get the hang of it) before sending me your final version.

It helps if your computer has a microphone (very cheap) and you read near
it.
LEARNING

We never know how much learning is taking place. It is tempting to imagine that if teaching is going on, then the learning must be happening; but in fact, teaching and learning need to be clearly distinguished.

Teaching does not equal learning. Teaching does not necessarily lead to learning. The fact that the first is happening doesn’t automatically mean the other must occur. Learning demands energy and attention from the learner. It has to be done by the student personal effort. So what’s a teacher for? To help learning to happen.
