Nairobi SectorKenyaNakuruDidi Ananda Rupa collected KSH 2 million ($US25,000) in materials forthe reconstruction of the roof of her school building damaged by fire inMay. There are currently 135 children in her school.MombasaTen new children were admitted to our Kiambeni primary school bringingenrollment to 427 children from KG to Grade 8. One more child wasadmitted to the Children’s Home which now has 21 children. One Homechild, Manjuri recently graduated from a 3 year diploma course inCatering. All projects are being supervised by Didi Ananda GiitikaNairobiTen new children were enrolled in the Huruma School run by Didi AnandaGiirija, which now has 525 children from Baby Class to Grade 8.Kenya’s largest food retailer, Uchumi placed a huge billboard at theWestlands branch that depicted Dada Shubhavratananda (EI-1) and DadaJagat Mitra doing service work for the poor children.Dada collected materials for the completion of the Children’s Home, worthKSH 600,000 ($US8, 000). The Home now has 21 children and isexpected to be completed by December.Dada’s new 5 acre MU Land in Kikuyu, about 26 kms. out of Nairobireceived a 30 million KSH donation ($US400, 000) for the construction of a multi-purpose service project that will include a children’s home, aschool, Health clinic and Rehabilitation for the Handicapped. is expected to start in January.Dada Jayashivananda, CSASD, is in the process of registering 4 plots of land in Njoro and Kariobangi Districts, with a total size of 1.75 acres. Oneplot of one-quarter acre has received the title deed and the other threeare in process.UgandaOur school in Lugasi was selected as the only school in the MukonoDistrict to measure the standard of examinations of primary school pupilsas part of a nationwide exercise. The school harvested 15 quintals of maize (1500 kg) which was consumed by the 250 children in our primaryschool. The Hare Krsna organization donated 4 cows to our farm. DadaAksovananda, CSS, built a new 12x12 m. teacher quarters for his 7 maleteachers and received a donation of $1000 to complete the fencing of ourentire 20 acre property. ZambiaDada Sukalyan, DS Lusaka, created one new LFT who is running thecomputer night classes for adults. Our AMSAI now has 93 children andobtained its registration for 2009-2010. Dada secured a two-yearresidence permit for Zambia with the collaboration of a local Catholic NGObased in Mpika, Zambia. TogoDada Jinanainjananda, CSD, organized the Sectorial UKK in Lome, whichwas attended by over 125 Margiis.Qahira Sector
 
Kiirtana at the successful conference in LebanonIn Lebanon , the Sectorial Conference was organised by Ác.Shantashubhánanda Avt. with the attendance of 100 people. It was ahuge success. Participants enjoyed kirtan, meditation, and intuitionalgames at the opening of the conference by Ac. Subudhyananda Avt. andSister Neha. Opening talk was given by SS Berlin Ac. Krpamyananda Avt.who has also toured other countries in the Sector. Lectures were given bymost of the Ácárya/ás present during the conference. Dádá Shantimayawas an attraction at the conference and he reported that many youngmargiis and non-margiis showed interest in becoming WTs..A new country was covered by Dádá Krpamayánanda. He visited Bahrainand gave one public talk, after which 3 people were ready for initiation.Regular Yoga and Meditation classes are happening in Athens, Croatia,Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt,Turkey, Malta, and Israel.Georgetown SectorBrasilÁc. Anaghánanda Avt. reports from the Ananda Kiirtana Master Unit thatthe dairy farm is going on well. We have 30 cows now, and the milkproduction has increased to 130 liters daily.The 19th anniversary of our school at the MU has recently beencelebrated. We have 4 teachers and 2 margiis who work full time at theschool. The school has 27 children. Furthermore the school wasrenovated, 10 computers along with chairs and tables have been donatedby the municipality. In the coming month we will have an Internet centerthat will serve the local community of Vila Sao Francisco.The Art festival took place at the MU where more than 100 peopleattended. Various workshops, art exhibitions, yoga and meditation classestook place and many participants gave a very positive feedback, offeringtheir collaboration for next year’s event.
