MOSS AQUAMARINE, OR “AQUA” FOR SHORT, IS REALLY JUST A
PRETTY TRADE NAME FOR A QUALITY OF AQUAMARINE THAT HAS
A LOT OF INCLUSIONS. ALTHOUGH LACK OF CLARITY GREATLY
REDUCES THE PRICE OF AQUAMARINE, IT DOES NOT NECESSARILY
LESSEN ITS ATTRACTIVENESS, AND IT CAN MAKE LARGER STONES
QUITE AFFORDABLE. THE CLOUDY NATURE AND SUBTLE COLORS
OF THESE FACETED NUGGETS MAKES THEM IDEAL CANDIDATES
FOR JEWELRY OF UNDERSTATED ELEGANCE.

1. Start the bracelet by threading on a crimp. Pass the beading TOOLS

wire through the ring of one half of the clasp and back through Crimping Pliers, Flat-Nosed Pliers, Wire
Cutters, Round-Nosed Pliers
the crimp. Make sure that the beading wire is tight around the
ring and squeeze the crimp shut.
MATERIALS

4. Add a Thai silver chip, a 3mm round bead, and a crimp. Bring the

beading wire through the ring of the other side of the clasp and

back through the crimp and the round bead. Tighten the bracelet
so that there are no spaces between the beads, close the crimp, 10" of beading wire
and snip off any remaining wire. Add the crimp covers.

5. Make the dangle by adding to the headpin a Thai silver chip, a

2.5mm silver round bead, a moss aqua nugget, a silver round,

another Thai silver chip, and the last 2.5mm silver round. Cut
the headpin 5 ⁄8" above the last bead and start a wrapped loop.
Attach it to the loop of the clasp ring and finish it off with
several turns around the base.
