Introduction & Daily Routines (10 minutes)

Do a short introduction and review to prepare the class with the previous day materials

 NT & KT: “Good morning students”
Students (Ss) “Good morning Matthew Teacher…”
 KT: “Hello I’m HyunSook/Jasmine. I am your English teacher,
along with Matthew Teacher. Are you ready to study?”
 Ss “Yes.”
 NT: “Good. We are going to give you English names today, but first
we are going to do some daily routines activity.”
Daily Routines
Next the KT goes will introduce the daily routines for the lesson. The daily routines will
be a chant that students can follow along and participate in at the beginning of every
class. It is simple chant and will get the students ready to participate in the activities.
 KT We are going to begin the daily routines chant. We will discuss the
weather, ‘how are you’. Follow along with me…
The KT & NT can begin to introduce the chant together. The teachers can go over the
chant enough times until the students feel comfortable enough and they can do it and
participate.
Name Cards (15 minutes)
The students will use crayons or colored pencils and start to make their own name card
for their English class. If students have trouble with English names, the NT can provide
some English names that the students can use. The students will decorate their English
name cards.

In the students’ workbooks or notebooks, the students will write down their friends’
English names.

____________”. That person has to come to the front. There, they must roll
a die.
