HOW WORKS?
When a magnet approaches a superconductor
that has previously been cooled below its
transition temperature until get a zero resistance
into materia.
When this happens an electric current creates an
opposite magnetic field of the magnet
So as not to superconductor gives electrical
resistance, the induced current flows and creates
a repulsive force that counteracts the weight of
the magnet and holds it in the air.
Applications and Advantages
This technology has been employed in various
elements such as cellular system having a sliding panel,
however, where it stands is in the construction of high-
speed trains, which slide on the superconductors and
involves a high performance by requiring only a initial
circular drive with frictionless surface
Dynamic effects based applications require a large
amount of energy. The properties of attraction and
repulsion between magnets and superconductors has
improved a lot to be considered very stable systems
and energy consumption is reduced drastically.
HOW TO MAKE ONE?
A superconductor material
A wooden board
Liquid nitrogen
Liquid nitrogen
Styrofoam
A magnet
First we need to put the superconductor into
base of styrofoam with liquid nitrogen, the
temperature going to get down to certain critical
temperature. When Superconductor reaches this
temperature. The magnetic fields are expelled for
the superconductor after that we need to make
two big circles on the wooden board for put the
superconductor with liquid nitrogen into
styrofoam.
We need to paste very well and we need to a
magnet very large or some parts placed with a
rail like a path of trains when we put in place the
wooden board is suspended in the air like magic
