(More) Washington, DC (December 3, 2009) –The Poker Players Alliance (PPA), the leading poker grassroots advocacy group with more than one million members nationwide, today challenged statements made during the House Financial Services Committee hearing on H.R. 2267, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act. During the hearing, U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) claimed there is potential for criminal activity through online poker by citing a letter written by Shawn Henry, Assistant Director of the Cyber Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
