ASSIGNMENT 2 (ESSAY WRITING)

It was Saturday 21

July and there was no extra-curricular activities at school that I decided to
wake up at 7.00 am. I took a long bath and headed for the kitchen. I saw that my sister was
preparing breakfast. Aside from my mother, my older sister is a great cook. I sat beside my
parents and had nasi lemak my sister had prepared as breakfast. At 8.00 am, I
accompanied my little brother and watched television with him. It was more entertaining to
watch him act as the hero of the story we were watching. At 9.00 am, I visited my neighbour
Uncle Lim. He had a minor accident two days before and I had not had the chance to visit him.
He seemed chirpy and well and told me about the accident. Before going back home, he advised
me to be careful on the road because accident can happen anywhere. At 10.30 am, I went to the
mall with my younger sister, Lili to shop for my best friend; Rams birthday present. Ram
has been a family friend since I was little and he has been with me through thick and thin. Lili
and I had our lunch at 1.00 pm at the food court. There were many people buying food since
it was lunch time. We managed to get seats to eat. After that, we went back home. It was 3.00
pm and I decided to take a nap. At 5.00 pm, I went for my swimming lessons at the
Municipal Pool. Swimming has always been my hobby. It always relaxes me after a long and
stressful day. Two hours later, at 7.00 pm, I went back home and took a bath. While waiting
for dinner, I watched the television. At 8.00 pm, I had dinner with the whole family. We
talked about how our days went. Later, I revised the lessons I learnt that week and did the
assignment as my mother always stresses on the importance of education. My siblings and I
have been raised to prioritize education and not to take it lightly. Sometimes, my parents would
come and revise the lessons with us. Then, before going to bed, I surfed the internet. I caught
up with my friends days activities and read news and at 12.00 pm, I went to bed. It was a
productive and happy day for me.
