WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL STUDENTS!

Students are to report to breakfast upon arrival at school. Staff members will be on duty to direct
middle & high school students to their specific areas for breakfast & schedule pickup..
Breakfast ends at 7:55am.
Classes start at 8:00am.

**Band Practice Schedule: Starting Today, Aug. 18, band practice will be every Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday after school- 2:45-4:30pm.

Graders: Tues, Aug. 19- sign up with Coach Creamer in the cafeteria during lunch if you are interested in
playing baseball this school year.
**Boys & Girls Cross Country Tryouts, Grades 6-12: Tues, Aug. 19, 3:00-4:00pm- Students interested in trying out must have an up
to date sports physical. Practice starts Wed, Aug. 20 & will be Mondays Fridays, 3:00-5:00pm. For more info contact Coach Jason Luquis or
Coach Kati Hathcock.

**School Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting in room 117 Tuesday, Aug. 19, 6:00pm: The SAC meetings are scheduled for the 3
rd

Tuesday of each month in the FCS front office conference room at 6:00pm. Parents, students, & community members are welcome to attend!
**Girls Basketball Open Gym, Grades 6-12: Wed, Aug. 20, 5:00-6:00pm- Girls interested in trying out later this year are encouraged
to attend. The schedule for all open gyms from Aug. 20 to tryouts on Oct. 20 will be handed out after this first open gym. For more
info contact Coach Jason Luquis or Coach Bruce Hubbs.
**Baseball Players Parent Meeting, Grades 6-12: Wed, Aug. 20, 6:30pm at the baseball bleachers. If rain, will meet in gym. For more

**Child Find Pre-K Screenings: Mon, Sept. 18

- FDLRS/PAEC & Franklin County Schools will co-sponsor screenings to identify
children, ages 3-4 years old, with special needs. If you child is not enrolled in public school or Head Start & is suspected of having a vision,

**The Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act states that children & youth who lack a fixed, regular, & adequate
nighttime residence are considered homeless. If, due to a loss of housing, a child must live in a shelter, motel, vehicle,
campground, on the street, in abandoned buildings, or doubled-up with relatives or friends, then he/she is eligible to receive
