ACCEPTABLE IN THE SIGHT
OF GOD!
Rom 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bod-
ies a living sacrifce, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of
God.

If we are going to live by faith, we had better make sure that our
sacrifce of our bodies is acceptable to God! Most Christian fnd it a pleas-
ant thought to live by faith. Just the thought sounds like you are taking the
HIGH WAY of life and not the low way of life. But do we have the ear of
God when we go to prayer? When God looks upon us does He see us as
acceptable or repulsive?
We were created for His pleasure! Is He pleased with us?
Rev 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast
created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

If you will check out the book of Esther you will notice that she
was greatly concerned about pleasing the king so that she would fnd fa-
vor in his eyes. When you are working through an authority, you are very
wise if you seek to please that authority. Remember, we get back what we
put out (The Law of Liberty/James 2, 3). Is the Lord pleased with your
life? Before you begin to live by faith, you had best seek out what type of
relationship you and the Lord have today. Is He your frst love? Do you
wait upon Him to send the answers to your problems? How often do you
pray and converse with the Lord? How do you treat His house? Do you
go to serve or only to be served? How do you treat His children? Are you
a problem or a blessing to the house of God?
How can we please God? How can we know if we are acceptable
in His sight? There are some verses that tell us what pleases God.

Rom 14:17-19
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and
joy in the Holy Ghost.
For he that in these things serveth Christ IS ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, and approved
of men.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith
one may edify another.

If we seek righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (the Spir-
it of God), this is acceptable to God and men will approve it also. We are to
follow things that make for peace, not things that stir up the souls of men.
Our goal should always be to edify or build up another in their faith. When
you walk away from your friends, are they encouraged or discouraged? If
you have encouraged their lives, this is acceptable to God!
If we will not conform to this world, but will transformed ourselves
by renewing our minds with the word of God, then we can PROVE what is
that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT will of God (Rom. 12:2).
Here is another way to PROVE what is acceptable to God.
Eph 5:8-11
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children
of light:
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove
them.

We are to walk as children of light! Children of light walk in good-
ness, righteousness and truth. We are to have no fellowship with unfruit-
ful works of darkness. We cant run with the world and walk in the light.
We can show friendliness and kindness to the world, but to fellowship, we
must agree, and we cannot agree if we walk in the light.
Here is something else we can do to bring pleasure to God.
1 Tim 2:1-6
I exhort therefore, that, frst of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving
of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in
authority; that we may lead a quiet
and peaceable life in all godliness and
honesty.
FOR THIS IS GOOD AND ACCEPT-
ABLE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD OUR
SAVIOUR;
Who will have all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the
truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus;
WHO GAVE HIMSELF A RANSOM
FOR ALL, to be testifed in due time.

While God does not want
us to fellowship with the world, it
pleases Him for us to bring them
before Him in prayer. God gave
Himself a ransom for ALL men and
He wants us to involve ourselves
in their lives by praying for them.
How much time do we give to pray-
ing for others?
It is acceptable to God for us
to offer up spiritual sacrifces. The
sacrifce of praise is a great way to
fnd favor in the sight of God. Do
you spend most of your time prais-
ing God for what He has done or
do you complain about what hasnt
been done at this time (I Pet. 2:5)
Another way to be accept-
able in Gods sight is when you do
well and suffer for it, and you take it
patiently. We are called to do this!
Jesus did no sin and took patiently
what the sinners did to Him on the
cross and we are to FOLLOW HIM.
Prepare yourself and make sure you
are living an acceptable life, then
take that step of faith and see God
at work in your life. Step out on the
water.

THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AS HIS
FATHER DID!
(This is taken from notes I wrote from a sermon of Dr. Charles Stan-
ley. They are not word for word, but as close as I could write. This
was taken from his fathers day sermon.)
If your children follow in your example will they;
Be saved early in life. Will they have strong desires to discover and
fulfll Gods will for their lives?
Will they live a life of faith, focused on God and trusting Him for all
their needs?
Will they be industrious with drive and ambition, setting godly goals
for their life?
Will they have wisdom to live today, remembering someday they will
give an account to God for their life?
Will they be encouragers, lifting up others, helping those in need, com-
mending them for efforts?
Will their prayer life be one of daily communion with God, giving
thanks and interceding for others?
Will they hunger for the Word of God, seeking an intimate relationship
with Him, and seeking His guidance in their lives.
Will they personally seek to lead others to Christ?
Will they faithfully serve through the church, their talents and tithes?
Will they recognize their bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit, a sa-
cred vessel of God, committed to purity, wise healthy practices?
Will they live and work in the power of the Holy Spirit relying upon
Him for guidance and strength to accomplish His will.
When they die, will they go to heaven or be separated from God?
Will they look up to you father - or will they just look at you?
2 Kings 21:19-22

Haruz of Jotbah.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh did.

in the United States is 700,000.
Accidental deaths caused

Out of concern for the
public at large, we have withheld
the statistics for lawyers for fear
the shock would cause people to
panic and seek medical attention.
You cant hide behind
a hypocrite unless

than he is!

Naming His Name & Reflecting
His Beauty!
If I should ask you if you are a Christian, how would you answer me? Do
we, who are Christians, claim the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and
Savior? When we were married, we took our husbands name. When we trusted
Christ as Lord and Savior, we were given His name. All born again believers are
given the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. While we all bear His name, do we all
resemble His person?
My and Jerrys frst date was going to a birthday party. Jerry came to
the house to pick me up and when the door opened he was completely confused.
I answered the door, but my mother was wrapping the birthday gift. My sister
was sitting in my daddys lap. We all three looked alike to Jerry. He thought I
was wrapping the package and that mother was sitting in my daddys lap. So, he
thought it must be my sister at the door! He was wrong about all three of us! In his
defence, we did all look alike. We were often thought to be sisters. I began having
gray hair in my 20s and many times they thought my mother was my sister. I
would say, No! And I am not the mother. We had a great family resemblance.

I have been born again for 54 years and I hope I somehow resemble the
person of Christ. I dont want to have to convince people that Im a Christian. I
hope they will sense the Spirit of the Lord in my life.
My daddy has been with the Lord about 48 years now. I missed him so
much after his death. He was the apple of my eye. Seventeen years after daddys
death, Jerry and I went to a seminar for home schooling. It was a large crowd and
we had to sit wherever we could fnd a seat. After we were seated, the man next to
me introduced himself and his wife to us and we began to talk. My and the mans
spirit instantly bonded. After fellowshiping between breaks that day, Jerry and I
started walking back to the motel and I began to cry as I walked. Jerry looked at
me with a precious smile and said, I know why you are crying. I said, Oh no.
You couldnt know what Im thinking. He said, Yes, I do. That man reminds
you of your daddy, doesnt he. My husband had sensed the mans spirit also and
recognized how much it was like my daddys spirit. He didnt look like my daddy
at all. He had a beard and my daddy had never had a beard or a mustache, but
his spirit was just like my daddys. In all my life I have never before or after met
anyone that reminded me of daddy like this man did. The man never knew how
God used him in my life that day. I felt like I had visited with daddy once again.
What a precious thing for the Lord to do for me!
I have thought many times
about what made him so much like
daddy, and I believe it was his love for
the Lord. My daddy loved the Lord
and this man was so obviously in love
with the Lord also.
I do not make light of the
name of Christ, because our help is
in His name. His name is our strong
tower and without faith in His name
we would stand condemned without
hope. His name is above every name
and whosoever will call on His name
shall be saved. Everything we do is to
be done through His name. We must
remember also that if we believe on the
name of Jesus Christ, then we are to de-
part from iniquity. We are commanded
to believe on His name and to love one
another. His name is His gift to me, but
my refection of His person is my gift
to Him.
I want to radiate the person of
Christ in my life. Whats your desire?
I want my spirit to be a spirit of
Christs love, so that everyone I meet
knows that Christ loves them and so
do I. Almost everyone that Christ has
brought into my life to serve, tells me
they knew I loved them and thats why
they let me help them. People wont let
us into their lives (hearts) unless they
feel we love them. Love never fails!!!
It will do the work that it sets out to do.
People may fail to respond to love, but
love will get its point across. I would
like for the Lord to look at me and say
what He said to Nathanael. He said,
Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is
no guile! (John 1:47) I want to keep
the guile out of my heart so I can touch
lives for Christ. I am committed to
seeking how to learn to love with pure
godly love. The more I know about
God, the more I can know about love.
What are you committed to?
While I want my spirit to be a
spirit of love, I want my methods to be
methods of WISDOM. We are told in
Proverbs to seek wisdom.

When Does Tyranny Become Tyranny?
By Scripture, it happens when a ruler breaks the commandment of 2 Samuel 23:3, The God of Israel said, the
Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
By Puritan interpretation, constructed before the frst Pilgrims and Puritans embarked for America, it is when a
ruler knowingly and deliberately contravenes the will of God, thus making it impossible for His subjects to fol-
low that divine will.
By the Magna Carta, which established English common law, it is when a ruler ceases to act under that law and
denies his subjects their rights, as guaranteed by that law.
By pronouncement of James 1: A king ceases to be a king, and degenerates to a tyrant, as soon as he leaves off
to rule according to his laws.
By Parliamentary interpretation, it is when Englishmen have measures imposed upon them, such as taxation,
without their consent or even representation.
By every one of these defnitions, James IIs attitude toward the Colonies was tyrannical. As the Puritans saw it,
HE was the rebel, for He was using the power of his offce, not to serve the people but to oppress them. There-
fore he was in direct disobedience to the will of God, as delineated in both Testaments of the Bible.
Congress said, Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual...Continue
steadfast, and with a proper sense of our dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and
no man ought to take from us.
Famous Speech of Patrick Henry: There is no longer room for hope. If we wish to be free, we must fght! An
appeal to arms and to the God of Hosts is all that is left us! They tell me that we are weak, but shall we gather
strength by irresolution? We are not weak. Three million people, armed in the holy cause of liberty and in such
a country, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. We shall not fght alone, God pre-
sides over the destinies of nations, and will raise up friends for us. The battle is not to the strong alone; it is to
the vigilant, the active, the brave...Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and
slavery? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give
me death!

TID BITS MONTHLY
REPORT
Life never ceases to be amazing. Every morning is a new day and only
the Lord knows what that day will bring. Gloria and I have laid some things out
before the Lord and made our request known. The Lord has already began to
work. This week He gave us three confrmations that He is at work. Also, we
have received some precious comments about last months articles. Faith is a sub-
ject that moves all of us in one way or another.
If you have looked at our country lately, you have noticed that America is
in trouble with the Lord. We are all waiting for the rapture, but we must consider
that the Lord may judge America frst and we must be ready. We were so thankful
for Hobby Lobbys win in the supreme court this week but disturbed at how close
the vote was in favor of religious freedom. One more liberal judge and we would
be losing liberties. We must confess our sins and pray for our nation.
We are looking for a four color printing press. We need one that will print
pictures. We would love one that would work from our computers but they are
very expensive. If you know of anyone leaving the printing work that might have
equipment they no longer need, please let us know.
As you know I am leaving the pastorate the last Sunday in August. Gloria
and I have always paid the utilities and household expenses for Tid Bits of Wis-
dom these seven years but we will not be able to after August. Please pray with
us that the Lord will put it in the hearts of those who can, to support the work so
we can continue as we have these seven years. We have a faithful few that have
put this paper out for years. There is no way we could have accomplished this
work without them and now we need an increase to take care of the new needs.
If this is what God wants, He will provide. He has been so faithful to this work.
We have never had a need that God did not provide ahead of time. We certainly
cannot complain.
Letters: Thank you for sending me the Tid Bits of Wisdom, after I have waited so long to
write. This paper has been and is a special blessing to me. I praise the Lord for every one
who has written it. Please keep on writing and sending it to me. I will try to write more

TWO SEAS
IN PALESTINE!
There are two seas in Pales-
tine. One is fresh, and fsh are in it.
Splashes of green adorn its banks.
Trees spread their branches over it
and stretch out their thirsty roots to
sip of its healing waters.
Along its shores the chil-
dren play, as children played when
HE was there. HE love it. HE could
look across its silver surface when
HE spoke HIS parables. And, on a
rolling plain not far away HE fed fve
thousand people.
The river Jordan makes this
sea with sparkling water from the
hills. So, it laughs in the sunshine.
And men build their houses near to
it, and birds their nests; and every
kind of life is happier because it is
there.
The river Jordan fow on
south into another sea.
Here is no splash of fsh, no
futtering leaf, no song of birds, no
childrens laughter. Travelers choose
another route, unless on urgent busi-
ness. The air hangs heavy above its
water, and neither man nor beast,
nor fowl will drink.
What makes this mighty dif-
ference in these neighbor seas? Not
the river Jordan. It empties the same
good water into both. Not the soil in
which they lie; not the country road
about.
This is the difference. The
Sea of Galilee receives but does not
keep the Jordan. For every drop
that fows into it another drop fows
out. The giving and receiving go on
in equal measure.
The other sea is shrewder,
hoarding its income jealously. It

Naming His Name & Reflecting
His Beauty!
One of my favorite lessons on woman is Women of Wisdom vs. Strange
Women. If we live in the fesh we will be strange women, but if we live through
our new birth and walk in the Spirit of Christ, we will be women of wisdom.
Wisdom is a very interesting person. She was brought into the world by
Jesus and was with Him from the beginning of creation. She was daily His de-
light. She delighted in His works, especially mankind. (Prov. 8:21-31) Wisdom
calls to us early in a situation, but often we do not listen to her voice. Later she
will laugh when we get in trouble. Wisdom is that small voice that tells you if
your right or wrong in your action. We call it our conscience. How do we fnd
wisdom?
Well, in the book of Job we fnd that wisdom is hid from the eyes of all
people. Wisdom is not found in the land of the living. The depth and the sea say,
It is not in me. It cannot be bought with money. Where is it?
Ps 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all
they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Wisdom is given of the Lord when we fear the Lord. The Lord tells us,
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise
as serpents, and harmless as doves. (Matt 10:16) The Lord also tells us to ask
for wisdom. If we are not double minded, God will give us the wisdom we ask
for. (James 1:5-8) I am committed to seeking the Lord for wisdom, so I can be as
proftable as possible while doing His work. What are you committed to?
Jerry and I are checking out our knowledge and commitment to faith and
how to preform it in our lives. Faith is WHY I do what I do. I believe the prom-
ises of God where given for me as much as they were for anyone else. They are
my promises! For every promise the Word of God gives us, there is a stipulation
for us to fulfll. If I want to move mountains, I must not doubt the Word of God.
If I want wisdom, I must not be double-minded. I want to learn all the promises
and all the stipulations to those promises and then do my best by FAITH to inherit
them. I want to live in the fear of the Lord. There are many promises to those
who FEAR the Lord. If I am going to be a Royal Child then I am going to seek
royalty. I want the Lord to lift me up above the life of the fesh. Anyone can live
in the fesh! I want to turn loose and let God have His wonderful way. Turning
loose is like jumping out of an airplane and hoping your parachute opens. To be
real honest that is a terrifying thought to me. I dont trust anything man makes to
always work. A jump of faith in the Lord will mean that I will be leaning on HIS
greatness and faithfulness and Him I can trust.
Why would we take that leap of faith in our lives? ONLY because we
have HOPE in God. My HOPE will cause me to endure to the end! What you
hope for, you wait for. The better I know the person of God, the more hope I have.
When I read through my Bible, I am always looking to see what it says about God.
How He works. What His thoughts are about what is happening and what His
orders are to mankind. One year, while reading through my Bible, I looked at
every time the word cry or crying
was used. I looked to see why people
cried and what did God do about it. The
more I read the Word of God the greater
the HOPE is in my life. I saw a bum-
per sticker one day that read, Since I
gave up hope, I feel so much better. I
felt sorry for that person. Without hope
you will just sit and turn to ashes. You
will never taste the greatness of your
God unless you HOPE in Him and His
Word.
I guess this article is a public
statement of my commitments to my
God. I am reminding myself of my
promises to my God. What have you
committed and what have you prom-
ised God. How important is He to your
daily living? If Hes not frst, you have
not begun to live. There is absolutely
no way to explain the joys of a life of
faith. If you ever taste it, you will never
want to return to your old way of life.
LOVE will be my spirit of service.
WISDOM will be my method of life.
FAITH will be my dependency
of life.
HOPE will be my endurance of life.

lives. This other sea gives nothing. It
is named Dead Sea.
There are two kinds of people
in the world just as there are two seas
in Palestine. Which sea are you?
