A view of organization
Mullins (2005,p.32) organizations areindividuals and groups that interact withina formal structure. Structure, is created bymanagement to establish relationshipsbetween individuals and groups, toprovide order and systems and to directefforts to carry out goal seeking activities.
Statt (1991, p. 102) organization: a group of people brought together for the purposeof achieving certain objectives. As thebasic unit of an organization is the rolerather than the person in it, theorganization is maintained in existence,sometimes over a long period of time,despite many changes of members.
