Hizbollah's Political Manifesto 2009

Published by Political Islamism
Hizbollah's 2009 detailed political platform was first announced on Monday, 30th November at a press conference convened by Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The document marks the first tentative steps on the road towards Hizbollah becoming a fully-fledged political party, as opposed to an armed resistance movement with a political wing.

WARNING - this is a poor translation of the original document (see http://www.scribd.com/doc/23535725/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%AB%D9%8A%D9%82%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B2%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D9%87-2009), but I have cleaned it up somewhat...at least as much as time will allow!

Introduction
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful; Lord of the Worlds.Peace and blessings upon the Seal of the Prophets, Prophet Muhammad, and uponhis holy family, chosen companions, and upon all the prophets and messengers.Allah the Exalted said in his Glorious Book:
?
As for those who strive hard for us, We will surely guide them to Our paths, andverily, Allah is with those who do good deeds
?
(29:69)And the Exalted also said:
?
O you who believe! Do your duty to Allah and fear Him. Seek the means of approach to Him, and strive hard in His cause as much as you can so that you may besuccessful.
?
(5:35)This political document aims to outline the political vision of the party including itsideas, standpoints, and ambitions. It also comes as a result of the burden of sacrificeand action which we have experienced. At a momentous time full of changes, it is no longer possible to address suchtransformations without noting the special stand our resistance has taken or therange of achievements that we have accomplished. And it will be necessary to address these transformations through two paths:The first is the Resistance one that refuges to the military and political victories aswell as the spreading out of the Resistance to the extent that it can affect thebalance of power in the region. The second is the path of the US-"Israeli" arrogance and supremacy in its differentdimensions and extensions which is witnessing military defeats as well as politicalfailures that reflected a collapse in administering the developments in our Arab andIslamic world. These data integrate in the comprehensive framework of a broader internationalscene which exposes the decline of U.S. "unipolar" hegemony. And what deepens the international hegemony system impasse are the collapses inthe financial markets and the entry of the US economy in a situation of disarray anddeficiency which mirrors the profundity of the crisis. Therefore, it's possible to say that we are amid historical transformations thatpredict the retreat of the US role as an omnipotent power, the break of the unipolarsystem and the demise of the Zionist entity.
