Marketing and Social Media Internship
Internship Description Are you looking for a chance to build your portfolio and gain experience in the nonprofit, media and event industries? The Cable Center is seeking a motivated Marketing and Social Media Intern for the fall school term. The internship will provide the opportunity to learn about the multi-faceted cable industry. The marketing department supports the efforts of five diverse mission focus areas and a vibrant events business, allowing the intern to grow their skills in a multitude of areas. The individual selected will work closely with and be mentored by the Marketing and Communications Manager to gain real life experience in the following areas:
Developing strategic social media strategy
Gathering and analyzing media mentions, website and social media analytics
Social media monitoring and updating
Creating marketing collateral
Planning marketing events
Writing and editing
General department administration Hours and Compensation
Academic credit provided as compensation, this is an unpaid position
Flexible scheduling during standard working hours of 8:30 a.m.
5:00 p.m., working 12-20 hours per week
Great location! Adjacent to the University of Denver campus, The Cable Center is within walking distance for DU students and located directly across from the University Light Rail station.
Minimum internship duration is 8 weeks (preferably starting the beginning of September)
