Albany County Sheriffs Office EMS Division
Answering over 6000 calls annually, the EMS Division is a
leader in cutting edge pre-hospital medicine. 75 full and part
time employees staff 6 Medic Units and 4 BLS ambulances out
of 5 stations. Our paramedics and EMTs provide advanced
and basic life support first response and supplemental
ambulance transport for a population of nearly 75,000 people
in six different communities. In addition to providing fast and
critical care to the public, the EMS unit provides personnel to
support specialty units within the Sheriffs Office such as the
Emergency Response and Search and Rescue Teams.
