R e sista n c e to e x tre m e s o f te m p e ra tu re
G eberit H D PE can be safely used as w aste pipe for tem peratures of up to 80C . Tem peratures of
up to 100C are perm issible for short periods (e.g. surges of steam ). The system is equally suited
for freezing tem peratures and adapts elastically to cope w ith expansion, rem aining com pletely
intact and undam aged after thaw ing.

G eberit H D PE pipes undergo a licensed annealing process in hot w ater to reduce inherent tensile
stresses created during m anufacture. This process ensures long-term joint integrity, as therm al
expansion and reversion are reduced com pared w ith untreated pipes.
I m p a c t re sista n c e
G eberit H D PE is unbreakable at room tem perature and offers excellent im pact resistance even at
tem peratures of 40C , thus m eeting the requirem ents for drainage system s.
C h e m ic a l re sista n c e
G eberit H D PE also offers considerable resistance to chem icals, because of its paraffin structure.
The system is insoluble in all inorganic or organic solutions at 20C .

The flexibility of G eberit H D PE guarantees crush resistance and superior perform ance in applications
w here pipes pass through expansion joints or are subject to traffic vibration.

D rainage system s are increasingly m isused for "refuse chutes. H ence a pipes resistance to abra-
sion is a particularly im portant factor for branch pipes, soil stacks and ground pipes. H D PE is very
resistant to abrasion, its extra thick w alls offer superior protection from both internal and external
abrasion.

50 160 m m (315 m m respectively). They are especially suitable for prefabri-
cation off site. The light-w eight properties of the system allow specifiers and
contractors to design and build pipe runs aw ay from a construction site.

The G eberit electrofusion m achine is ideal for use on construction site to create
a fast, sim ple and reliable connection. Electrow eld sleeve couplings are availa-
ble from 40 to 315 m m .

W ith the Sovent fitting, venting can
be m anaged easily by using one fit-
ting on each floor level. An additio-

D ue to the form ation of a hydraulic plug in the stack by the inflow ing w ater from a
branch, conventional stacks very easily are overloaded w ith negative pressures,
exceeding the tolerable lim its and traps losing their w ater seal.

The G eberitPluvia fastening system w as developed forthe installation of expo-
sed horizontal roof drainage piping.
The expansions and contractions of the pipes, that occur after installation, are
absorbed by the system itself. For this purpose, all m echanical forces are trans-
m itted to the square steel rail routed parallel to the pipe.
