Thank you for worshiping at Grace UMC! You are our honored guest, and
we hope you will make yourself at home this morning. We want to welcome

Exploration Classes
Pastor Bryan is currently leading a class on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm
for those new to the church and wanting to join. Each week we are
discussing topics pertaining to our faith and spiritual journey here at Grace
UMC. If you want to learn more about United Methodism, please join us
today! We meet in Fellowship Hall #3, and all are invited to come and learn

GraceFull Singers Begins Today!
Calling all youth and kids in Grades 1-8! GraceFull Singers begins this
afternoon, and we want YOU! Well be preparing a Christmas musical to be
presented Sunday, December 7
th
, followed by a church-wide potluck. Come
and join us for lots of fun, singing, drama, and more! Rehearsals are on
Sundays from 4:00-5:30 pm. We will take a few holidays off; the full
schedule will be distributed after we begin rehearsals. Feel free to contact
director Gianna Gimenez if you have questions. Dress rehearsal is December

Growing as Parents Class Begins This Afternoon
Join us today from 4:00 - 5:30 pm as we begin a 6-week course on parenting.
This class is open to the community and families of all types. Well have
weekly topics of interest led by various people from the church and our
community. Childcare and programming for kids is available while we meet.
Nursery workers will play with kids in Kindergarten and younger, and
children in 1

Grade though 8
th
Grade are invited to join our GraceFull

Wednesday Family Night This Week
Join us at 5:00 pm for our Wednesday Family Night fellowship meal this

! The Mission Team is hosting this weeks meal, and
the menu is: lasagna, bread, salad and dessert. Following the meal, at
6:00 pm we have Wee BZ for ages 2-Pre-K, Bible Zone for K-5

Grades, youth
small groups, and adult studies. Nursery care will be available. We are still
in need of groups to host the meals on September 10

and 17

The Children of Grace Need You!
Have you lived in another country? Are you willing to share your experiences?
We are looking for Grace members or friends to come share their life
experiences with the children of Grace. We ask that you talk to the kids for
20 minutes one upcoming Wednesday night. You can share your
experiences; games you play; songs you sing; and favorite places to go. What
a wonderful gift it would be to them, so please consider sharing in this
special way! Contact Holly Cecil at hacecil@bellsouth.net if you would like to
help.
Join the Grace Supper Club!
Our monthly Supper Club gatherings will be held September-May at a local
home or restaurant selected by the host. Its a low-commitment, low-stress
way to get to know others in our congregation. Everyone is welcome to
participate, either as an individual or a family. Please register by mid

GraceFull Players Sunday
Please make every effort to come and be a part of GraceFull Players Sunday
at both the 9:00 and 11:00 services on September 7

. This talented group of
performers will be offering Gods Word through drama and dance, as well as
leading us in receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Please mark your
calendars and plan on being a part of this special experience!

Wee Bible Zone & Bible Zone This Wednesday!
Come join our Wee BZ and BZ classes this Wednesday at 6:00 pm for some
fun, interactive time with the Bible! Wee BZ, for ages 2 years-Pre-K, is a
fun, age-appropriate time to learn about God's love and His Son, Jesus.
BZ, for Grades K-5

, is all about Science and how it relates to God. We'll
have guest teachers who know their stuff, as well as play games, and enjoy
other awesome activities. Make plans to join us!
Acolyte Training This Afternoon
Acolyte Training will take place at 3:00 pm today. Children who are in

Grade and up and are interested in being Acolytes at the 11:00 Service

Club 45 Begins Today!

Grade Student Need Something More? Come check out
Club 45, an exciting new program for tweens, led by Jim and Holly Cecil. It
begins today from 5:30-7:00 pm. This program is designed to help fill the
gap between our elementary and youth programs. Todays meeting is an
informational meeting for parents. While parents hash out the details, the
kids will be playing games and getting to know each other. Contact the

Camp Living Stones
We need adult help picking up the vans for the Camp Living Stones trip on
Friday, August 29

, at 3:00 pm. WE will be getting three vans at the Avis
rental branch on University. If you are able to help, please speak to Adam.

Meals to Grow Backpack Packing
Tomorrow evening, August 18

at 6:00 pm, we will be packing backpacks
for children in need at Montview Elementary and Providence Elementary
schools. Without these backpacks (theyre given out on Fridays), the
children would not have enough to eat over the weekends. If you would like
to help us, we will meet in the Youth Room at 6:00 pm.

Outdoor Church
Grace UMC is sponsoring Outdoor Church at the Manna House in
downtown Huntsville on Saturday, September 6
th
, from 8:00 am - Noon. If
youd like to help as a volunteer cooking and/or serving food for the
homeless on that Saturday, please contact Brian Mitchell at
brianmitchell@gmail.com or (256) 527-4583.

HAP (Huntsville Assistance Program) Food Pantry Donations
During the month of August Grace UMC is collecting soap, shampoo, and
Kleenex to support the Huntsville Assistance Program. Please place
donated items in the Food Pantry in Fellowship Hall Room #3.
