be
provided
to

are
related
to

reasonablynecessaryforthe
performance
of
their
duties
as
Members:
 a
regularly
scheduledairtravel
service
 i
between
theMember’scon stftuency
or
normalplace
of
residence
and
Edmonton,
orbetween
other
points
in
oroutside
Alberta
if
it
is
morereasonable
and
convenient
to
useairtravel
service
betweensuchpointswhen
travelling
betweentheMembersconstituency
or
normalplace
of
residence
and
Edmonton,
and
 ii
between
anypoints
in
Alberta
fortravel
onbusiness,
limited
in
the
case
of
all
Membersexcept
a
Member
who
is
theleader
of
an
opposition
party,
to
no
morethan
5
return
trips
in
a
fiscal
year;
 b 
charteredaircraftservice,
subject
to
thefollowingconditions:
 i 
the
service
may
beusedonlybytheMembersfor
the
electoraldivisions
of
Athabasca-LacLaBiche,
Fort
McMurray,
Dunvegan,
Lesser
SlaveLake
and
Peace
River,
 ii 
theuse
of
the
service
shall
relate
to
a
trip
toor
from
a
destination
withintheMember’selectoral
division,
 iii
the
use
of
theservicefor
a
tripon
any
day,either
to
or
fromthedestination
referred
toinsubclause ii ,
shall
notbeallowed
if
thetripcouldhavebeenmadewith
reasonable
convenienceonthatday
by
way
of
regularly
scheduledair
service,

subject
to
subcLause
 v ,
thechartershallbebetweenpointswithintheMember’selectoraldivision,
and
 v
a
charter
may
be
arranged
under
whichthe
trip
is
to
or
from
a
point
outsidetheMember’selectoral
divisionif
it
is
morepractical
todo
so
in
thecircumstances
and
if
thatpoint
is
reasonably
close
to
the
boundaries
of
theMember’selectoral
division;
 c
reimbursementfor
thecost
 
taxitravelor
car
rental,whichever
is
deemed
to
belesscostlybythe
Member,
in
the
citiesof,or
areas
surrounding,Edmonton
and
Calgary,
subjecttothesubmission
of
supportingreceipts;
 d
regularly
scheduled
long-distance
bus
transportationwithin
the
Province
where
privileges
arenot
otherwiseprovided;
 e
cost
 
taxitravelnecessary
 
connectwith
other
forms
of
transportation
when
travelling
to
and
from
theCity
 
Edmonton;
and
 f
the
reimbursement
 
expensesincurred
in
parking
a
vehicle
atan
airport.

automobile
shall
beprovided
onthesamebasis
onwhich
theyare
provided
to
or
for
the
use
 
Members
of
Executive
Council
to
 a
theSpeaker;
 b
the
Deputy
Speaker;and
 c
the
Leader
 
Her
Majesty’sLoyal
Opposition.

Theuse
 
an
automobile
shall
be
provided
onthesamebasison
which
they
areprovided
 
orfortheuse
 
DeputyMinisters
to
 a
the
DeputyChairman
 
Committees;
 b
the
leader
 
a
recognizedoppositionparty
as
defined
in
section
4.8 1
the
Legislative
Assembly
Act;
and
 c
theChairman
 
a
“Category
A”
committee
as
defined
in
Memb-’
Convniuee
Allowance
Order
 RMSC1992,
c.
M-2 ,
excepur
committeewhich
is
not
a
Standing
Committee.

any
automobile
provided
bythissectionincludes
fueland
other
thingsrela ted
to
the
operation,
maintenance
and
repair
of
thatautomobileincluding,with
respect
to
automobiles
providedpursuant
to
section2 1

section2 2 a ,mobiletelephoneservices.

Use
of
any
automobile
provided
bythis
Order
is
subject
to
any
directives
of
the
Treasury
Board
regarding
thatauto mobile.

following
shallbe
provided
to
 
fortheuse
 
Members
onthe
condition
thattheyare
related
to
and
reasonablynecessaryforthe
performance
VEHICLE
of
their
duties
as
Members:
 a 
the
provision
 
fuel,
oil,lubrication,
antifreeze,
gas
lineantifreeze,
transmission
fluid,
brake
fluid,steering
fluid,windshield
washer
fluid,
washes
and
waxing,
including
labour,if
theyrelatetothe
operation
of
a
private
automobile;
 b an
allowance
of
25
cents
perkilometre
in
respect
of
a
Member’suse
 
a
private
automobileon
the
followingconditions:
 i
thepurpose
 
an
allowance
is
to
cover
the
expenses
of
operating
theautomobile
other
thanthose
items
coveredbyclause
 a ;
and
 ii
theallowance
is
limited
to
paymentfor
upto
52
trips
peryearbetween
the
Members
residenceor
place
 
employmentor
business,
andthe
City
of
Edmonton,
and
forgeneraltravel
withintheProvince;
 c an
allowance
of
25
cents
perkilometre
in
respect
 
a
Member
 
a
committee
 
theAssemblyoncommittee
business,
subject
tothe
conditions
in
section
42
of
theLegislative
Assembly
Act.

The
amount
 
generaltravelwithinthe
Province
forwhichtheallowance
provided
for
in
section
5 b
maybe
paid
shallbe:
 a 
for
a
Member
representing
an
urban
electoral
division,
up
to
25,000
kilometres
per
yearwhich
maybe
paid
withoutproduction
 
fuel
receipts
in
respect
 
0-10,000
kilometres
and
subjectto
theprovision
of
fuelreceipts
in
respect
 
10,000-25,000kilometres;
