Enthusiasts,
It is with great pride that we offer you the best of our herd in this mature cowherd dispersal.
The time has come for Joanne and I to slow down and begin to make way for the next generations.
With that, the decision has been made to reduce our herd size yet continue to produce high quality
Lowline and Moderator cattle.
Since 1997,when the first Lowlines were born at the Bar J, we have held the belief that Lowline
cattle had a prominent place in the cattle industry. We have strived to breed the best cattle possible
to prove this fact to the skeptics.
While it is difficult to sell so many quality cattle that have produced many champions, we
are confident that our yearling and 2-yr old heifers will carry on in their mothers footsteps. The
majority of our herd will be daughters of Bar J Beauford 9W12, the Lot 1 bull. He is a proven
commodity with several daughters that have won major shows and is a bull that will lead any
herd in the nation.
Many of the cows selling are bona fide donor cows with a world of earning potential. Their
calves at side could follow in the path of the Bar J Frosty Beauford daughter purchased by Tom
Ciolek, Belchertown, MA that became the 2014 national champion or the Bar J Nell, purchase by
Riverwood Farms, Powell, OH that was named the 2012 national champion.
It is very satisfying to see our customers have such success with our breeding. Mike Hudlow,
Fayetteville, Arkansas, has purchased 3 heifers which his family has shown to National
Championships. Most recently, Fanning Cattle Co, Ill, Jerry Adamson, Nebraska, and Pinehurst
Farms, Iowa, have shown Bar J genetics to great success.
Only in a dispersal such as this can you have the opportunity to purchase cattle that would
otherwise not be for sale. Whether you are just starting in the business or are an established
breeder, we are confident these cattle will be a welcome addition to your herd. We invite you to
join us on October 4 for a complimentary lunch at noon and view these exceptional cattle. Please
feel free to contact us for information about the cattle and the sale.. We will give you an honest
opinion and assist you with any questions you may have.
A rare and
fabulous
opportunity
presents itself
on Saturday,
October 4 in
Brooten,

Ranch

Joanne with the help of their son,
Jake have assembled an offering

nation. These are still young cows
with a long, profitable, productive
life in front of them. All cows 3 to 8

their calves at side in this fantastic
offering.
Also being offered is the 2011
National Champion Bull and sire
of champions, Bar J Beauford
9W12 and his two year old full
brother, Bar J Brady 2Z1.
This set of cattle can and will
continue to produce incredible
value in their calves and embryos
and add substantial value to your
breeding herd especially in terms
of your ability to sell their
offspring for "top of the breed"
prices. No introductions are
necessary when you can offer
cattle with the prestigious Bar J
prefix.
Make plans to attend. Call
ahead to let us assist you with
transportation arrangements for

The 2011 national supreme champion! Judge Steve Patton said, This bull should
be bred to every female in this show. His words were right on track as Beauford
went on to sire the 2013 Big E grand champion female, the 2013 NAILE grand
and reserve grand champion females, the 2014 national summer champion, junior
champion and grand champion females. Three generations of national champions
are unprecedented. This bull will headline any herd. Selling 3/4 interest and full

The Nell cow family is amazing. This cow has had a natural calf every
year. In addition, we flushed her one time. Of the 12 embryos she
produced, 9 calves were registered. Two of those calves, Bar J S400
Hybrid and Bar J Show Me The Way X31, were national champions.
Hybrid in 2011 as a calf and X31 as a junior yearling in 2012 for Hailey
Hudlo, Fayetteville, AR. Another flush brother, Bar J Cowboy Up was
reserve grand champion bull at the Iowa State Fair and the American
Royal and the NAILE in 2011 for Doll House Genetics. Other sons are
herd sires at DL Lowlines, Newell, IA, and Connell Stuck Farms,

red. She could put some new genetics into the red gene pool. Exposed 6/9/14 to
Bar J Crimson Tide. Lot 34a: Bar J Brook 0X41-4B29. Heifer calf born
5/2/14, BW 56. Sire: Bar J Crimson Tide. This fancy red carrier will also

An own daughter of Bess, the stylish red carrier has left us with two
young daughters. She had the misfortune of losing her 2014 bull calf
during the summer. She is exposed right back to Crimson Tide after
6/9/14.

This flush sister to the $15,000 Bar J Brook 9W5 is the dam of Lot 34. She had her first calf at 14 months of age. She then calved at 25 months of age,
producing a red herd bull purchased by Mark Ramsey, 4R Farms, Springfield, MO. The following year she gave us a red replacement heifer and then
a bull calf in 2003. She is exposed to Bar J Crimson Tide after 6/9/14.

the country with great results. A daughter, Pine Hurst Sassafras, was possibly the
first Lowline influenced female to be name supreme champion
at a major county fair. Taylor Kruger showed her to that
championship in Grundy County, IA. She was also reserve
grand champion of both the junior show and the open show at
the Iowa State Fair. A son of Hybrid, Bar J Thunder, was
champion steer at the junior and open ISF shows for Jamison
Reed. A full sister was the 2012 national champion for Heaven
Sent Ranch and a full brother was reserve champion at the ISF,
American Royal and NAILE for Doll House Genetics. Proven
genetics and a proven breeder, Hybrid will definitely make
your moderator program a success.
