The authors present a thorough review o the physiology and etiology o cervicogenic dizziness andother pathologies potentially causing dizziness and present an evaluation scheme that applies a 4-category diagnostic classication system and leads to the management o cervicogenic dizzinessand other types o dizziness amenable to physical therapy management. The classication systemacilitates proper diagnosis and helps the clinician distinguish between those patients who canbenet rom physical therapy intervention and those who require medical-surgical reerral. The authors also discuss perormance, scoring, and interpretation o tests and measures used inevaluating dizziness. Vertigo, presyncope, and dysequilibrium are specically dened accordingto the structures aected and the presentation o the patient’s symptoms.Ater reviewing the monograph, I am sure you will nd the inormation practical and readilyapplicable to eectively evaluating and treating your patients who present with dizziness as asymptom.Sincerely,Christopher Hughes PT, PhD, OCS, CSCSEditor
