Dear Parents and Guardians,

The safety and wellbeing of our students and faculty at Kalani High School are of utmost importance to us. As a result, I
would like to notify you that the school has received a threat of harm to the campus and student body. To reiterate, this is a
threat, but it is being taken seriously and our emergency protocols were activated immediately today.

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) was called on campus, and is actively investigating the matter. We also plan to
have increased security personnel on campus tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10 both uniformed and plainclothes
officers.

We felt that this situation warranted communicating to our families so that we can keep you abreast of the most current and
accurate information.
